A Word From the ANR Educator
Greetings All,
When I look back on February I think of the phrase, "long days, short weeks". All 3 program areas in our office (ANR, HHS and 4-H) were very preoccupied teaching youth and adult programs in Wabash County and surrounding areas the past few weeks. Mindy, Jessi and I schedule events this time of year since it is one of the times that farmers are not in the fields, students are not testing or on break and sporting events are in a state of waiting for spring trainings. In short, our schedules are as crazy and random as our Indiana weather.
It is also a time for annual meetings of our community partners. I always enjoy the smoked pork chops dinners when I attend the Salute to Ag Farm Family of the Year Banquet, hosted by Grow Wabash, and the Wabash Soil and Water Conservation District Annual Meeting. At both events I either sit on the board and/or help in other capacities.
I am glad that we are close to spring, not only does it mean more time outside, but it also means seeing some of my favorite community partners and preparing for summer and fall programing.
If you have any questions about upcoming programming or Ag questions in general, feel free to reach out to the Extension Office.
