Parents Chant 'Resign!' at Clarkstown School Board Meeting Over GENDA Policy

 Parents chanting “child predator” and “resign!” set the tone for the February 8 Clarkstown Central School District Board of Education meeting. 

Hundreds of parents and students filled Clarkstown South’s auditorium, split down the middle of the room, literally taking sides about CCSD’s addition of GENDA to the district’s Equal Opportunity and Nondiscrimination policy.

As spring begins, families eagerly anticipate Easter activities. One event that has become a fun tradition for many is the Boulder Stadium Egg hunt! This annual celebration transforms the stadium into a wonderland for young kids, where they have their very own easter egg hunt.

Pearl River St. Patrick's Day Parade

Each year on March 17th, families from all over Rockland County gather to participate in and witness the renowned St. Patrick's Day parade in Pearl River. The ceremony is considered the second largest in all of New York State and 10th in the country, and was held on Sunday, March 17, 2024 from 1:30 to 4:00 pm at 28 Railroad Avenue.

Our End of the Spectrum: TikTok or Assault Rifles? 


On March 13, the US House of Representatives passed a bill that will effectively ban TikTok in the US if its parent company, ByteDance, refuses to sell it. 

Though this bill hasn’t been passed through the Senate, it has created mass hysteria across all platforms, and further discourse about TikTok and its impact on our generation.

In the past six years, TikTok went from an app saturated with sped up lip-syncing and ‘transitions,’ to one with political discourse, dances, makeup tutorials, sports clips, comedy, and an incredible ability to promote music.
