Halloween is a favorite holiday for people of all ages, from elementary school kids going trick-or-treating to grandparents giving out candy. Regardless of age, Halloween is fun for all in different ways. Personally, I love grabbing a “few” peanut butter cups from the trick-or-treat basket and watching scary movies with my friends. To make your spooky season all the better, here are some events going on in Nyack leading up to Halloween.
Halloween Parade: Get together with your friends and family to watch spooktacular floats roll down Main Street. You can march, throw candy, or collect candy from the side. It’s a great time to admire all of the hard work put into these gorgeous Halloween structures!
Fire Dept. Annual Haunted House: If you like haunted houses and want to have a fun, scary time, this haunted house is a great place to go. The Empire Hook and Ladder Fire Department near Upper Nyack Elementary converts into a pretty neat haunted house for Halloween night. When you are finished trick-or-treating, go through this epic experience to make Halloween that much spookier. Plus, there's a bag of candy in it for you!
Monster Mash: After the annual Halloween Parade, the Nyack Center holds an after party for children. There is a buffet dinner for adults and plenty of activities for all ages. The entry is free of charge, and kids have a chance to show off their costumes.
