Teaching Roles

•Team Leader for the week

•Proactively coordinates with co-assigned lifeshapers (reconfirm attendance;  assigns NXTGEN roles; guides/facilitates: lesson, activity plans, trial run; leads devotional; and others)

•Share the devotional points to all lifeshapers

•Prepares for NXTGEN:

1. Prays for the kids, teachers

2. Do the teacher's devotional

3. Study the lesson

4. Updates the PowerPoint material for the lesson

Notes: 

a. bible story may be presented in anyway deemed appropriate, just be sure to stick to what is in the bible/biblically correct

b. some ways on how to present the bible story can also be seem in the Lesson Plan (Lesson Plan can be access in our GDrive: NXTGEN/Lessons

•Together with the other teachers, execute NXTGEN:

1. Prayer time

2. Praise & Worship

3. General take out (i.e. L.O.V.E)

4. Games(choose an interactive and energetic game that will involve most or all children)

5. Bible Story

6. Memory Verse & Big Idea

•Prepares for NXTGEN:

1. Prays for the kids, teachers

2. Do the teacher's devotional

3. Study the lesson

4. Prepare for the given tasks as assigned by the large group teacher

•Facilitates the squad activities with the big boys/girls:

1. Welcome the Kids to the Squad

   1. 1. May follow-through:

         1. 1. Did you tell Dad & Mom last week's lesson?

            2. What did you do at home or in school based from what you learned last week?

            3. Anything else that you would like to share to your teacher and your friends - about what happened to you this week?

            4. Follow-up previous lesson’s journal

            5. Follow-up personal bible-reading time

2. Reinforce the Bible Story : 

   1. 1. Bible story run-through : kids look-up and read the story into the bible

         1. 1. [Level 2/3] This is the time where you can teach the kids on how to navigate the bible (please be patient while they locate the book, chapter, verse)

            2. [Level  4] Usually are already very familiar

      2. Follow-through with Discussion Questions

3. Reinforce Memory Verse 

   1. 1. Memory verse (Game, activity)

      2. Connect to the Gospel

4. Reinforce Big Idea

   1. 1. Discussion: application

      2. Agree on an action item (SMART)

5. Wrap-Up:

   1. 1. [Level 4] Accountability (Refer to Worksheet for some suggested questions)

      2. Reminder:

         1. 1. Ask Dad or Mom for the copy of the Journal, and answer

            2. Personal Bible Reading

            3. Invite other Kids to NXTGEN

6. Closing prayer

5. Prepares activities for Arts & Crafts (Review guidelines for the Worksheets)

6. Prepares (ready) games

•Facilitates the squad activities with the small kids:

1. Welcome the Kids to the squad

   1. 1. May follow-through:

         1. 1. Did you tell Dad & Mom last week's lesson?

            2. What did you do at home or in school based from what you learned last week?

            3. Anything else that you would like to share to your teacher and your friends - about what happened to you this week?

2. Reinforce the Bible Story : 

   1. 1. Re-telling of the story

      2. Follow-through with Arts & crafts (continue explaining the idea of the lesson through the Arts & Crafts - refer to the guidelines for the Worksheets)

3. Reinforce Memory Verse 

   1. 1. Memory verse (Game, activity)

      2. Connect to the Gospel

4. Reinforce Big Idea

   1. 1. Agree on an action item (SMART)

5. Closing prayer
