Thank you lifeshapers for your intentionality in teaching the children to know more about Jesus! God bless your hearts of service.
Why do we minister to the NEXT GENERATION?
Mark 10: 13~16
13People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them. 14When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” 16And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them.
Research shows:
At 9 years old, one’s basic moral foundation has been formed
By 13, children have already irrevocably formed the majority of their beliefs about…
the nature of God
the reliability of the Bible
the holiness of Jesus Christ
the importance of the Spirit in their lives
what the after-life really is
being saved by grace
the existence of Satan
When you share the gospel to the children
between the ages of 4 and 14,
there is a 32% probability of their coming into a lasting personal relationship with Jesus
4% for teenagers 15 to 18
6% for adults above 18
We are building the future NOW!
We realize that we cannot do it alone.
We cannot disciple children effectively when we practically have only 1.5 hours a week with them. That is why we recognize the parents as their prime disciplers and spiritual nurturers. We work in tandem with families to disciple the kids.
Our VISION, very similar to CCF’s vision, ensures a consistent view of discipleship efforts through all life stages.
Our common set of values that guides us with our priorities in our walk with God.
Our common set of values that guides us with our priorities in our walk with God.
As we are all about Discipleship, NXTGEN’s Strategy for the Kids are:
To intentionally engage the kids with the Word of God,
to DISCOVER who God is, who they are as a child of God,
and what is God’s purpose in their lives.
To DEVELOP their character, spiritual gifts, talents, and skills,
to help them grow in wisdom, stature, and favor with God and favor with men.
To DEPLOY them for the building up of His church - to share the gospel and serve the families, communities, and nations for the glory of God.
As we are all about Discipleship, NXTGEN’s Strategy for the Volunteers are:
•Personal application of the scriptures
•Provides an opportunity for volunteers to serve the Lord through teaching and administration of the program
•Trains Christians to be more productive members of the church and gives them an opportunity to develop and use their talents and skills for the Lord
Discover at least one potential leader
Develop them to lead and start their own Dgroup
Deploy them to various opportunities for them to begin their DGroup
