You set your own serving schedule : at least once every month
Please inform:
Serving 1:00PM (Kids ages 4~9) : Teachers Santi and Ira
Serving 1:00PM (Kids ages 10~12) : Teachers Rowei and Darcy
Serving 7:00PM : Teacher Patch or Teacher Claui
Let us regularly set-inform our own schedules for the next month, anytime between 1st to 15th day prior to serving month
We are to schedule ourselves to serve at least once every month. If needed, and if you can extend grace, kindly schedule yourself 2x..
There may be a need to adjust to balance the teachers - before releasing the final schedule (3rd week)
Teachers Santi/Ira and Rowei/Darcy will be finalizing for those serving at 12:30PM
Teacher Patchi will be finalizing for those serving at 6:30PM
9. What will I do during Large Group? (as a Squad Leader)
Large group is just like the adult's service : there is the Praise & Worship, Welcome, Bible Lesson
Encourage kids to stand, sing, dance during Praise & Worship
Stay with your assigned squad, encourage the kids to listen to the Lead Teacher; correct misbehaviors, if there are
Encourage the kids to answer questions, to participate
Follow the Large Group Teacher's instructions/cue
10. What will I do during Squad Time?
Squad Time is like a DGroup-setting, intending for kids to fully understand the meaning of the lesson, to be able to apply it at home/school/community.
If assigned in Level1 squad (kids ages 5 and below):
Open in Prayer (teach them how to pray)
Ask them to retell the Bible story, ask what they learned from the Bible Story
Give worksheets / materials for Arts & Crafts
While kids are doing the worksheets/arts&crafts, ask from time to time what they have learned, ask leading questions on how they can apply the lesson (repeatedly per kid)
Examples:
Tell teacher about today's Bible Story.
[Lesson is Build Love With Your Family] How will you show your love to Daddy this week?
Lesson is Living Out L.O.V.E. through Prayer] When will you pray to Jesus?
What will you tell Dad & Mom about what you learned today in NXTGen?
Have fun (may do additional games related to the lesson) - check kids' focus from time to time
Explain the meaning of the Memory Verse & Big Idea
Let them recite the Memory Verse w/ the action one by one, then as a group
Close in Prayer (teach them how to pray)
If assigned in Level2~4 squad (kids ages 6 and above)
Let a child open in prayer
Kamustahan:
Ask them how their week was
Ask them for their answered journal the previous week - at the same time asking if they were able to do their "I will..."
Give feedback/encouragement
Bible Navigation : Let them locate the Bible Story/Memory Verse in their bibles (please be patient during this time, let the child locate the verse himself/herself, just guide)
Process the Lesson through the Discussion Questions
Discussion questions are already provided in our Leader's Guide
Please use the appropriate Leader's Guide according to kids' age group
Workshop: may do Journal Day1 (and inform the kids that they are to do Day2~Day6, everyday at home with their parents)
Let them write their lesson application ("I will" statement) at the Notes portion of the journal.
Connect lesson to the gospel, lead Prayer of Acceptance - if a kid hasn't done it yet.
Accountability Time
Closing Prayer.
May let them pray for each other, or may request someone in the squad to close in prayer.
Teacher, pray for the kids in the squad to bless them and their family
11. I don't know what to facilitate. Are we the ones to select and prepare the topics?
