Thank you lifeshapers for your intentionality in teaching the children to know more about Jesus! God bless your hearts of service.
The following are the step-by-step procedure on how to conduct this:
1. Begin with a prayer. Discuss with your Large Group Teams and Small Group Leaders the standards (indicators) mentioned in the form before their practice and presentation. Discuss how you can achieve the standards, and which one needs practice and improvement.
2. Choose someone who can consistently evaluate the group (i.e. NXTGen Coordinator, Level Coordinators, Team Leaders, Other Large Group Leaders and Small Group Leaders, etc.). Encourage the evaluator to give objective and specific feedback of the program. While the indicators are listed on the left column, they may also write their comments and recommendations on the notes section on the right column.
3. After the first service, huddle the group/teachers that are being observed. The purpose of this feedback system is to edify the group and help them improve. Begin and end with prayer as you do this process. Be mindful of your choice of words and comments. There will be recommendations that can be applied on the following service, but there will some that can be deferred on the following week.
4. Encourage them by assuring them that no skill or talent is being improved overnight. Practice is the key to meet the standards.
5. Compile all the forms for reference. You may encode them, if possible, to create a better statistic of growth. You may also use this form to assess which segment needs improvement, which one is effective, and which one needs tweaking for a specific use.

In what ways can the BIG GROUP – SPECIAL OPS presentation & hosting improve?
Comments & Recommendations
Every end of NXTGEN, teachers huddle together to discuss improvement points and the pray for each other.
Compiled in this segment are the items for improvement that were being discussed during the huddle time.
For Squad Time:
Separate boys & girls, follow the leveling - if we can already have more teachers.
Give more emphasis on the lesson's application, and do follow up regularly.
Check kids' heart (esp the big ones) : lead prayer of acceptance, if not yet done.
Journals
For Large Group:
asdf
Overall:
Praying for an area, conducive for squad time. Current maybe ok, but too noisy, especially for the big kids' discussions.
Praying for our big kids to have their own respective DGroups. Let us help them start, as some are already ready

3Q : GA with NXTGEN Ministry Orientation & Role Training
4Q : GA with a Family Event
[END]
To improve for 2022:
1
Kids informing that they have no bible -
Ask parents to prepare bibles for their kids
Large group teacher to remind kids to prepare their bibles before start of NXTGEN, may ask the kids to show their bibles before the start of NXTGEN
Squad leaders to let the kids open their bibles and locate verses "always" during squad time
2
Announce activities at least a month before - to increase attendance (lifeshapers, parents)
3
Call the parents -
how can we encourage you to join the Parent's events?
what is your available time to join?
we want you to be involved in the parent's activity for the kids
if we call, they will feel more important, than instead of sending messages in facebook
follow-up parents on their usage of the Parent's Guide
follow-up parents to disciple the kids
how it impacted their family devotion
create parents' group also in whatsapp
6
c/o Large Group teacher: announce to kids in the class - if you are interested to join the activity, ask your parents to join the parents meeting on <day> <date>
7
assign a lifeshaper to a kid
follow-up, monitor kid's spiritual growth
follow-up the kid's parents - attendance of kid no longer attending, journal, family devotion, etc
ask how their kids' heart is
date the kid? (remind parents to bring skids out on)
take pictures, and post with hashtag : #parentkidsdate <something>
Suggested activities:
Collect points for every activity joined, at the end there will be some awards
Suggested Activities across other satellites:
Objective:
online inter-satellite fellowship among kids (can meet new kids, new for them, prayerfully kids will become excited); parents be involved/obliged in the training/preparation of their kids
1
Bible Quiz Competition - have some participants for each level
* can make use of Kahoot
* for the smaller ones, cane make use of nearpod
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=494WfJurock
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=copRjNujlyI
2
Bible Verse Competition - can make use of all the bible verses in the lessons
* can make use of Family Feud/Jeopardy/Wheel
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H1seaWO4XHw
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvhUGQkwGfQ
Suggested Family Day Activities:
An outdoor activity (i.e Camping) - can have some grouping (i.e. Judah, etc)
Team Building
Topics for Parent's Devo:
Objective:
To attract parent's attention (topic be very general, not requesting to be involved as a lifeshaper)
Parenting in the Digital Age
How to guard our kids in gadget usage/pornography
How to equip parents about ***
Sex Education
Digital Cocaine Webinar - Brad Huddleston
Seminar for the parents - how to answer kid's questions in the biblical context (i.e. dad, where do i come from?)
Suggestion : Can we do a NXTGEN session that will involve all other satellites?
Objectives:
* to give/create an opportunity for kids to fellowship among other kids (can meet new kids; another set-up - new for them, prayerfully kids will become excited)
* to involve parents in the training/preparation of their kids
Initial info:
* Online activity, via zoom (assuming we are all using zoom in our online NXTGEN)
* Plan such that duration maybe the same with regular NXTGEN (i.e. 2 hours), and majority of the kids will be able to participate
* Involve parents by informing them to prepare/study/train with their kids again (we can give the coverage?)
* Date and Time: we can discuss common preference
(initial preference from us, any Saturday at 10AM-12NN, initial date: April 30)
* Inform kids to invite their cousins, friends to support them in the competition (can we insert some bridging portion in the event?)
* (if there are other ideas, please share)
Suggested activities:
1 Bible Quiz Competition
- each satellite to assign kids for each level (we may decide on questions & leveling)
- tools:
* can make use of Kahoot
* for the small (Level1 or maybe Level2) kids, can make use of Nearpod

3 (or if there are any other ideas, please share)
5 He decreed statutes for Jacob and established the law in Israel, which he commanded our ancestors to teach their children, 6 so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children. 7 Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget his deeds but would keep his commands. 8 They would not be like their ancestors— a stubborn and rebellious generation, whose hearts were not loyal to God, whose spirits were not faithful to him. -Psalm 78:5-8
Updates from CCF Main:

[NXTGEN/Lifeshaper STGO Bulletin (12 September)]
For the items to grow/improve on:
41 kids attended
* thank you teachers
* good and humbling reaction when being corrected & instructed by a child on what to do
* we should not be complacent on back-up rules & roles
- let us upload our powerpoint slides to our gDrive upon completion
- back-up teachers be ready to take over as planned (study, prepare)
* support is observed to be needed once break-out rooms open,
set a dedicated person, not part of squad, to handle this part
* on comment/suggestion from parents on minimizing screen time, maybe we can reduce by being mindful of the time
- let us start opening prayer immediately at 10AM, minimize zoomustahan time (less than 10mins, usually reaches 20-30mins)
- games: check that remaining time can still properly allocate the lesson & squad
- start squad time 11:20 (usually started 11:30-11:40)
note: program allocation of 20mins for squad time is set for 5 kids per squad
- end squad time 11:55, so that we can end nxtgen 12:00 (end of all bye-bye)
[NXTGEN/Lifeshaper STGO Bulletin (5 September)]
For today's something to grow/improve on items:
42 kids attended
* had very good discussions & sharing
* squad time seems too short, not all big kids (level4) were able to share
==> maybe because we merged all boys & girls of the same age
need more teachers
* have 3-5 kids who heard about Jesus for the first time
praying that we can do : 1 squad for new kids: gospel sharer role (need more teachers)
* for the small kids, really need to do something to attract their attention
* large group: need to really balance the small kids & big kids
small kids cannot cope up with lengthy discussions,
bible story & main point during large group, discussions be done during squad time
[update from last week]
* some teachers may not be aware that we have lesson plans for each assigned level
Level4: kids ages 10 & above
Level3: kids ages 8-9
Level2: kids ages 6-7 (but we'll adjust to 7 only in our squads, with a few 6-yr-olds)
Level1: kids ages 4-6
Lesson plans can be accessed at: http://bit.ly/nxtgen-lessons
go to year, i.e. 2020;
go to Lesson Series, i.e Joshua Series
go to Lesson number, i.e. Lesson 8
go to Level
filename: a file with has "LP" in it, i.e. Level2 Lesson Week 8 Joshua Series-LP.pdf
* teachers are encouraged to check on the lesson plans, it emphasizes the objective of the lesson, and guide us on what/how to explain during the large group and squad time
* Large group uses Level3 - average of the ages of kids in current attendance
[Pending]
* Rhythms of Lifeshaping training material is received
- to plan: lifeshaper's training, maybe together with the parents (bridging/evangelization)
* [Motivate for parents, Obedience for kids] series announcement
[NXTGEN/Lifeshaper STGO Bulletin (29 August)]
For last Saturday's something to grow/improve on items:
* 37 kids attended
* very good game! (we may check on our fb live)
- we need to take note on kids comments (as these are sincere, valid comments) : competition in games, being unfair
* add note/reminder in guide for large group teachers: suggest to please use headset
* sharing learnings:
- make notes on the questions& answers, as a ready back-up should technical problem occur
* we have new volunteers from Elevate!
add guide for observing/new lifeshapers:
- if there will be a time that you may not know the answer to a question being asked,
may inform, for example:
> i will get back to you on that
> i will ask another teacher on that
* next Saturday: do special operations activity with kids, to align w/ CCF's 36th anniversary
- we pray for more attendees as the activity will be focused on Gospel Sharing (testimony of kids)
- suggestion: inform parents beforehand that kids will be sharing their testimonies, so that kids may be prepared, won't take much time
[Pending]
* Rhythms of Lifeshaping training material is received
- to plan: lifeshaper's training, maybe together with the parents (bridging/evangelization)
[NXTGEN/Lifeshaper STGO Bulletin (22 August)]
For last Saturday's something to grow/improve on items:
* 43 kids attended
* 6 year olds should no longer be in small kids, they can already process
- we may create Level2 break-out room (depending on teacher's availability)
* some Level4 materials have Homiletics (better if discussed with the kids, esp the boys' squad)
* Aug 30 is CCF's 36th anniversay, do we have an SOP (Special Operations Program)? (SOP: no lesson, but a special activity)
- no material is provided, but we can reuse last year's materials:
> ppt (activity): kids to share how Jesus came into their Life
> video: Complete Gospel Pathway
- we have many new kids attending
- it is better and timely to share the gospel
- we may do same as last year: kids shared how Jesus came into their life
* Rhythms of Lifeshaping training material is received
- to plan: lifeshaper's training, maybe together with the parents (bridging/evangelization)
For today's something to grow/improve on items:
* (praise God, 34 kids attended today's NXTGEN)
chat room was fully disabled (teachers communicated via fbmsgr), it was better as kids were observed to be more focused on the lesson now
* our videos
- are stored at our GDrive: https://bit.ly/3fWgkwR
- large group teachers may upload their downloaded videos there, if song is not yet there
- some suggested songs in Joshua series are already uploaded there
- official dance videos from CCF main are also already uploaded there
* some videos were observed to buffer in zoom
- we may gradually optimize our stored videos: max 360, if not yet in this size
* squad time doesn't finish at the same time, sometimes disrupts small kid's squad time
- squad time is officially set at 50 minutes
- we set squad time between to 30-40minutes, depending on large group consumed time
- zoom settings be updated: timer will be set
- squad leaders should be mindful of the time, as the rooms will be set to close automatically
(no more messaging on fbmsgr that squad is finished)
- timer can be seen on the upper right portion of zoom
* timing
- if teachers opening huddle finishes earlier,
we may have a countdown to start or may let kids enter zoom even before 10
* SOW is modified to fit zoom
- those parts are added to the lesson's directory
* teachers' closing huddle is done immediately after NXTGEN
For today's something to grow/improve on items:
* (praise God, 33 kids attended today's NXTGEN)
fully disable zoom chat feature, so that kids will just focus on the lesson. though chats may be activity/lesson related, but too many are chatting now
* zoom-host be assigned in the main room (small kids) during the break-out. purpose: some kids may have left the meeting and join meeting again. if zoom-host is in a break-out room, can not know if a kid is joining the meeting again for room assignment.
For today's something to grow/improve on items:
* improve Kids' Church Rules
* background: we have many new kids
* add/give emphasis about respecting other kids (listening to others, giving way for others to also be able to speak, not quarreling other kids, etc)
* add/give emphasis about not being be sad/angry, if was not being called by the teacher (teacher cannot see all), but instead inform the teacher respectfully at sometime; during squad time, teacher may also ask who was not able to share yet during the large group
example:
S - speak one at a time
O - obey your teachers
W - wait for your turn, listen to others
R - respect other kids (or pls suggest for further improvement)
* kids sharing presentations (not related to the topic) not be allowed
- zoom-host should always re-check the settings prior to starting the meeting
(meeting settings were observed to be changing recently,
we may already have many account users with different intended audience)
For NXTGEN Zoom setting: (may also apply to personal zoom accounts for practice as Zoom-host)
* Waiting room: ENABLED (with instructions/rules for kids while in NXTGEN)

* praise & worship songs (for kids to get the message)
* aligned with topic, may follow what is in the Lesson Plan
* not frequently changing so that kids can follow-along and be familiar after sometime
* suggest: one song as our NXTGEN song (if played, it may remind that NXTGEN will be starting)
* plan: lifeshapers and parents' co-ministering/training
For today's something to grow on item:
* private chat of the kids should be banned : zoom-host should always re-check the settings:disabled before the start of NXTGEN (it might be changed in some other meeting)
* kids have memorized verses (memory verse), but from different bible versions. encourage kids (through parents) to refer to NASB (used in the lessons, easier to be understood by kids)
Scenario:
* during squad time, a kid (or kids) plays, jumps, runs around
* when called-out, kid will behave and listen
* but when attention is shifted to another child, the same kid will resume to playing, running around, jumping
* when called-out again, will listen
* the repetitive behavior and calling out to listen to the teacher and to the other kids consumes some of the time allocated for the squad time
* teacher's patience also is really tested
Lifeshaper STGO (something to grow on (or for improvement))
* Lifeshaper may request kid, indicating "timeframe". Example:
"Name, can you please sit down and also listen to what your friends are also saying for 15 minutes?"
- giving timeframe may set specific expectation to the child, i.e. that he/she should listen to other kids for 15 minutes, not for 1 minute only
* Know each child's learning styles: auditory, visual, kinesthetic

Several improvement points are discussed every after every NXTGEN session. It is deemed a lot better being shared to everybody.
And if there will be more suggestions aside from discussed STGO, please don't hesitate to share to us all
Thank you very much, God bless!
