After a stunt at school, Robert is put into the hotseat and the vice principal forces Nolan Iris' hand to send him to a boarding school to fix his behavior. The retired veteran thinks nothing of it at first, but fleeting memories of his past service and a grim reminder from his wife on why she's even here in the first place slowly allow him to settle into a state of dread. Nancy hopes for some recognition for her wartime photography skills, but everyone at military school only talks about Robert.
T.T. travels back in time to when the adults were kids and accidentally reveals details about Nolan's future lobotomy. Panicking, she recruits her friends Danny, Vera, and Leš to help fix the situation, but they end up causing even more problems. Meanwhile, in the B-plot, we watch a young Nolan growing up making changes that ripple through the timeline.
