The Brown Mansion is a significant-rated single-family residence located on St. Charles Avenue. Constructed in 1902, the property does not appear on the Fire Insurance Map until 1909. At the July 22, 2025, Architectural Review Committee meeting, the proposal received conceptual approval, with details to be finalized at the staff level. During the following August 6, 2025, Commission meeting, the application was removed from the consent agenda to allow for further discussion regarding potential alternative locations for the proposed chicken coop and to request that the applicant submit a detailed site plan for additional review.
Recommendation: Uphold ARC recommendation for approval.
