Staff Recommendations:
An inspection on June 26, 2025 showed that a new asphalt shingle roof had been installed at the property without permits. Further research shows the shingles were installed between March 2023 and December 2023. The shingles are an inappropriate color, per the HDLC Guidelines, brown shingles simulate wood and are not appropriate in New Orleans. However, the roof has limited visibility and the shingles are heavily obscured by the large dormers on the roof. As such, Staff has no objection to the retention application.
