What is it?

This style is a usually small, thin, point with five sides and a base that is either flat or concave. Typically, the length of a Jack's Reef Pentagonal is 2.5 inches with some reaching as big as 3.5 inches.

  • The Jack's Reef Pentagonal was used for a span of roughly 500 years from 1,500 BC to 1,000 BC.

  • The styles geographical distribution spans as far north as New Hampshire, as far south as Alabama, and as far west as Illinois.

  • In southern states, the style can be referred to as the "Pee-Dee" and the "Mississippi Pentagonal."
