Harry Douglas

The Friends of the New Providence Memorial Library were proud to present an exhibition of paintings by Harry Douglas during the months of August and September 2023.

 

The artist’s reception is Aug. 24th, 5-8:15 pm. All are welcome.

Some paintings are available for purchase and are indicated on the price list in booklet on the Reading Room podium.

After 31 years of teaching high school fine arts and ceramics at Mendham High School, Douglas retired to pursue his own creative interests. He was recognized as a distinguished educator by his district and peers. His students have won many local, state, and national awards, with many going on to art schools, careers, and a lifetime of engagement. Douglas’ work is in many private collections throughout the U.S. Douglas also plays tennis, winning the New Jersey State 60+ title. He lives with his family in Central New Jersey.
