The Friends of the New Providence Memorial Library are proud to continue our Annual Community Art Exhibit again in 2024. All 23 of the artists are residents or work in or around the New Providence area. This year's theme is "Color Pattern Texture."
This three-month community art show, during June, July, and August 2024, will be an exciting mix of the arts and crafts. It was juried from many submissions, and we are pleased with the variety of mediums: painting, photography, quilting, fiber, ceramics, etc... It also reflects the library's objective of creating a “living room for the community."
The works are displayed on the walls of the Adult Reading area, in the front of the library, and in the Conti family Community Room, through the vestibule by the back door of the library. We also have three-dimensional works displayed on the shelves of the glass cabinet in the front of the library.
The Artists' Reception is Tuesday, July 9th from 5:30pm -7:30pm in the Conti Family Room
The exhibit will be on display until Sept 6, 2024

Who may submit? Anyone, any age, who lives or works in New Providence area.
When is the Deadline? Applications accepted until May 10th
When will I know if my work is accepted? We will view the applications and send letters after May 10th
Where will the works be displayed? In the Conti Family Community room and the walls of adult reading area in the front of the library

Drop off date for your framed and wired, ready to hang submissions: Sunday June 2nd 1pm-2pm. There will be a curator at the library, 377 Elkwood Avenue, New Providence, to receive your works, from 1 - 2 and we will be hanging the works between 2 and 5pm.
The Reception is Tuesday, July 9th from 5:30pm -7:30pm in the Conti Family Room. It is hosted by the artists themselves. Come to enjoy refreshments and meet with the artists!
Actual span of the exhibit for public viewing: Monday, June 3rd(installation should be completed by 2pm), until Friday, Sept 6th
Pick up date: Saturday, Sept 7th , between 10am - 12 noon
