The Friends of the New Providence Memorial Library have brought the visual and performing arts back to the library after two long years. Art by the library curators Lynn Celler, Denise Moser, Beth Spiegel, and Louise Wheeler is on display in the front reading room. At the same time, 2D and 3D art by New Providence High School student is on display in the Conti Family Community Room and the glass cabinet.
Below are some of the works created by the New Providence High School students, in the Conti Family Community Room:
The installations will last through May and we encourage you to come view the works more than once since the glass cabinet will have me work at the end of April. The Friends also hosted the return of the Light Opera Company of NJ, performing Gilbert and Sullivan’s comic opera H.M.S. Pinafore on April 3. This delightful performance was held before a full house and was a welcome return to performing arts and activities in the library.
