Hints/Tips

♦ On the discord you will find the following channels:

♦ Roleplay emotes- This channel is used to enable you to give hints about your character and what they are up to, perhaps someone might stumble upon you then if they pass by.

♦ Marketplace- This is to be used as an additional place to sell wares, though what is posted here should be 'IC' and posted in New Lordore on the notice board, or send via raven.

♦ Raven Messenger- This channel is for letting people know that you have send them a mail. Some people easily forget to check their mail.

♦ Rumours- You can post hints and rumours here about characters/events

♦ Character stories can be uploaded directly to the forum on your characters page. You can then use roleplay links to post the link.

♦ Please ask if there is anything you need from the admin for your roleplay. The chances are we'll have it  Relics, items, books etc.

♦ Remember that anything that happens IC has nothing to do with the person OOC. It is simply their roleplay. It should not be taken personally and should always continue to be roleplayed. Likewise, if you are feeling a certain way OOC please do not let this affect you IC. You are always welcome to vent to us in a ticket. 

♦ Please remember to always think: “Would my character know that?” / “Does my character know that character yet, how?” / “How does my character know where that one lives” etc. Always question yourself to make sure you're avoiding metagaming. Nothing spoken about OOC (unless it is in a Raven or a Rumour) should be used IC.

♦ EVERYTHING you do in game reflects on your character. For example, if you accidentally kill someone's thrall, expect backlash.

♦ Shift + R will give you access to consent, emote and also roleplay stats. Please ensure you fill these out. Shift + H also has additional emotes to Shift +R

♦ Remember if you're playing the bad guy that it WILL seem like it's the world vs you. That's the price to pay for playing such an intense, domination character.

♦ Good and Evil are a grey area. What is good to one may not be to another. This is worth remembering.

♦ If you have declared that you are easily misled, then you should act as such. If you have written that you are aggressive, then behave so.

♦ Please read and read again your racial information and behave accordingly. If you are a shapeshifting Cat, its unlikely you would be rude to an Alpha Werewolf, you would more likely be terrified, for example.

♦ Royalty are just that - if you disgree with Royals, expect them to punish you for this. You should treat them with resepect or expect fallout from this.

♦ Please use the Raven Messenger channel or Roleplay Chat to speak IC and arrange meetings etc. Otherwise, organically it is better to roam the world and be free to Roleplay!

♦ If you aren't planning on being online for a couple of days, try leaving a note on your door to say ‘Gone on a venture, back in two days’ to ensure your RP is flowing still. Perhaps you could emote in discord?

♦ Remember you can leave notes in all hubs on the notice board! Check these regularly. You can also leave notes on peoples homes. You can narrate in discord that you have placed one for someone to find.

♦ An example of narrating in global or roleplay emotes, could be: ‘Runa walks to Lordore through the path of the towers to pin an important notice to the board there. She decides she may go for an ale whilst she is there.’

♦ If advertising something, make sure it is in the form of a note on notice boards or doors first before doing so.

♦ Arrange to meet people to trade, talk or drink or try and bump into someone new around the map using the methods above.

♦ Anyone is welcome to arrange an event of their own, whether it be opening your bar for the evening or an event for your storyline. Just ask a member of staff if you need wider help with this, we are happy to help! We are also happy to include you in storylines.

♦ A reminder that players are not permitted to use their own traps/ been hives as there are plenty dotted around most hubs

♦ There are crates in New Lordore - a tip for new players - You can get free stuff from these crates that players/admin leave there.

♦ It is advisable not to build big behind what would be the wall to preserve server performance. Build there at your own risk.

♦ Merchant Mages - Caravaneers. Should you wish to purchase a Thespian from your role or from someone with that role, and make them into a teleport mage going from your market please open a ticket

♦ Remember to use appropriate language (do not use slang terms or abbreviations such as LOL) and try to punctuate where you can to make your sentences flow better and easier to read.

♦ OOC should be VERY limited in Local and taken to Global

♦ You should try where you can to pay attention to everything that is being said before replying, and avoid too many emotes in a busy situation. Perhaps you might address everyone who has spoken in one long emote. Give others a chance to speak, some are slower at typing and may prefer much longer emotes.

♦ If you are a little overwhelmed and need some time to reply you could emote e.g. *Nevara is overwhelmed with everyone speaking at once, and wishes to be given a moment to reply*

♦ Religion

Please ensure your religion is sensible and to a friendly lore standard. Realistically could you worship all of the Gods without repercussions for example? Having a Set temple in the land of Yog would not go unnoticed by those supporting that religion. The highest tier of temples are at each hub in the kingdoms, please use these instead of having them within your base (unless it is the God that you worship).
