The Ghoul, a hideous amalgamation of flesh, sinew and bone brought into the world through the rituals and blood sacrifices practiced by those gifted in the art of necromancy. Though these rancid, walking corpses can take many forms, almost all take the shape of a human, the main differences being the rotting stench of death that follows them.
Though long since dead, some Ghouls retain fleeting memories of the sacrifices that were used in the summoning process, manifesting as a confusing orgy of twisting madness within their minds, causing many who come into contact with this heinous creature to think them to be insane. As such, Ghouls can often be heard talking to themselves as multiple entities.
Despite their outward appearance and taste for human flesh, Ghouls aren’t violent by nature, and given the right circumstances, in some cases they can be adopted into human societies and given menial jobs. They are capable of learning simple tasks and have limited speech.
Skin colour ranging from light grey to dark brown. Hair colour is usually white or black. Sharp claw like hands in some cases.
You can become Ghoul through failing to become a Lich through ritual. Once this happens, please open a ticket. In rare cases you may apply for the role herehttps://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScPk9JNlTNUJSJvm2xY96UOhHkaiKlbJR47BVxqfRpoSD3FOg/viewform and in this case also, please open a ticket to let us know you have filled it in.
Playing a Ghoul presents a fun and interesting dynamic challenge for the player. Given their outward appearance, and limited speech, even benevolent Ghouls can be shunned by Human societies, or even worse, in some cases attacked and killed. There are no set guidelines here, this race offers many avenues to explore for even the most creative role-player.
Ghouls are incapable of creating elaborate builds and are more likely to take refuge near human settlements, scavenging leftover food where possible. Though they can attempt to build crude, basic hovels.
Mentions of ghosts can be seen in https://conan.fandom.com/wiki/The_Hour_of_the_Dragon. Along with this, the game has many ghosts around telling a tale. A ghoul is an extension of this.
