The long-lived Elves are children of the natural world, they are in tune with the natural world around them. They seek to live in balance with the world around them and understand it better than most other races, some of this understanding is mystical, but an equal part comes from there long-life span. Elves bodies take on the physical representation of their mental and spiritual states. When elves dwell in a region for a long time they physically adapt to match their surroundings, most noticeably taking on the coloration to reflect their local environment. The coloration of elves as a whole varies wildly and is much more diverse than that of the human population, however as their colouration often matches their surroundings, the elves that live within the same community may look quite similar.
Elves value their privacy and traditions, and while they are often slow to make friends at both the personal and national levels, once an outsider is accepted as a comrade the resulting alliance can last for generations.
As the name suggests, the Wood elves inhabit the wooded areas. wood elves as a group, are less haughty and cultured than other elven races, and more attuned to nature, as there visual would suggest, forest dwelling elves often have tones of brown, green or tan in their hair, eyes and skin tone. They are particularly well-suited to hunting and ranging activities in the deep forests.
The Snow Elves were a race of elf who inhabited the Coldest reaches known as the northern wind. Naturally they have tones of white or grey hair, blue/grey/white eyes, other than that not much is known of the Snow Elves past the genocide they suffered long ago. Some small pockets of Snow Elves may have escaped the genocide dealt by the far north men, though as of now, only one is known. Knight-Paladin prince Killian (known as Snow) is confirmed to still live, he resides within the winter plains where they would naturally reside should they find their way to Lordore.
Dark Elves are a somewhat isolationist race of elf who originally populated the most northern point of the continent, Khrosha, within the huge volcano. In the old times they were known as the ancient enemies of Man, who often try to invade their homeland. The word "dark" describes the ash-coloured skin, and eye colour that varies with many dark tones, such as dark purples, dark reds and black. The Dark Elf culture is much more cutthroat and aggressive than that of other elven cultures.
They are a race that consider themselves the purest and most civilized of the other elven races. This is difficult to argue due to their efforts of selective breeding. Golden or blond tones in their hair and skin, eyes gold or yellow.
If someone wants to roleplay a different variation of elf, this can be passed in a ticket by admin
You can only become an Elf upon character creation. Please ensure that you match your character to the description of the type of Elf that you will play. If you are a Snow Elf, please check the lore behind this.
Elves are not an official part of Conan lore, however they work well alongside our other mild fantasy races.
