You need to have a valid NCCP number to sign up for a Nordiq Canada Coaching Licence. If you do not have an NCCP number, you must create one for free at https://thelocker.coach.ca. If you have an NCCP number but don't remember it, you can look it up on that same page.
All coaches coaching for more than 7 hours a year must sign up for a Nordiq Canada Coaching License before starting to coach. This is to continue benefiting from liability insurance coverage and other benefits. The license is renewable on a yearly basis, starting June 15th and effective June 15th of each year.

Every three years complete a Vulnerable Sector Check

Please follow this link to the Ottawa Police website and complete the Vulnerable Sector Check (VS) form. You will be asked to attach the confirmation letter that is attached to this email. I have been advised that the Ottawa Police Department offers this service free of charge.
Level 3 - Vulnerable Sector Check - Ottawa Police Service
Quebec residents:
You will need to visit your local Police Station to complete the required document for working with the Vulnerable Sector. You will also need the attached letter as proof. I have been advised that the Gatineau Police Department offers this service free of charge. Once you receive your reply from the Police Department, please send a copy to Admin@nakkertok.ca

Nutrition Course - 1 Hour eLearning Workshop, $20 cost. Helps coaches understand how to support athletes and their parents or caregivers in making effective nutrition choices. Also provides Professional development points.
Online Waxing Clinic - Throughout this free online training module you will find a series of videos and other information on the ski preparation.
Nordiq Canada Officials - Becoming a Level 1 official is easy and free. Simply create an account in the Nordiq Canada Officials Training Centre , and then click “Nordiq Canada Officials Level 1 Online Certification.”
These Coaching Enhancement Funding bursaries are available for In-person and Online NCCP workshops. Coaches must pay their fee. The bursary covers Learn to Train and Train to Train courses. After completing the course and have received the certificate
you can submit the cost. The process is here.
The racing program aims to cover the remaining costs for each mandatory course that a volunteer coach takes. An email will be sent out at the end of the season to request coaches submit their expenses for courses and depending on the amount of money available in the racing program budget.
