M.U.S.E. is a group exhibition showcasing an array of creative responses to challenging circumstances we are confronting collectively and individually – ranging from social and environmental issues in our communities, to personal struggles with mental health.
The multi-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary works – which include drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, video and digital media – propose the following as strategy: learning from our collective history and personal family stories (Memory), re-assessing what wellbeing and self-acceptance means for us as individuals and communities (Unyielding Self-Reflection) and developing more sustainable ways of supporting one another and the environment around us so that we can all thrive (Endurance).
These themes have inspired the artworks in the show and give the exhibition its fitting acronymic title: M.U.S.E.
