Proof revolves around Catherine, a young woman raised by her mathematician genius father Robert. For the last few years of his life, Catherine left her whole life behind in order to tend to her mentally & physicaly ill father. Before his funeral, Catherine meets Hal, Robert’s old student, who looks through the innumerable notebooks Robert filled in the years before his death.
