Mia Perez (she/they) found her calling as a leader in the arts at a young age, and since then, their life has been devoted to storytelling. Mia is currently a Theater-Integrated Studies emphasis at UCLA's School of Theater, Film & Television, and intends to pursue a minor in both Spanish and Film & TV Production. During her time at UCLA, Mia has been exploring her passion for directing primarily, as well as her other areas of focus in stage management, production management, and scenic design within the department and with student theatre groups. In just her two years, Mia has participated in 9 productions and become the Executive Director of Out of The Blue Theatre Company and Chief Operating Officer of the Shakespeare Company. Through her involvement in 13 productions and the staff of the Aliso Niguel Theatre Company during 4 years of high school, Mia has become well-versed in leadership and theatre-making both on and off stage, so much so that she eventually became their Managing Director. Her self-motivated nature and willingness to take initiative both in her art and academics have set up Mia for her future in her theatre career at UCLA and beyond.
