Special Design Considerations

Designing the balcony within Revit’s constraints was a difficult task. The structural walls/beams of the balcony on the exterior of the MUB Building were complicated to model due to their radial shape. It was decided that a rail should be added for a more aesthetically pleasing look to the balcony and a more exposed feeling when using the balcony. Additionally, getting the partial wall of the balcony adjoined to the ceiling required some additional calculations. 

Renovations and Goals

The first floor will stay relatively the same as there is necessary office space within as well as the campus bookstore. One change that will be made is the expansion of the student organization space. With many new minds and walks of life coming to campus, more thoughts, plans, and hobbies will be brought as well. The expansion will allow for the organizations to continue to grow as the population continues to trend upward.
