What?
In House Student Work Attachment Programme (ISWAP)
How?
In house training is not only a great way to sense others, but also giving the opportunity to the students to develop and practise virtues, generosity, kindness, compassion and respect. For the in house training, students should complete at least 30 hours of community, social and voluntary work such as become librarian, lab technician, bookstore keeper and CCA Section. Period of community service work is between April to November. After every work, students should ask person in charge to sign for approval and to confirm the time and work done. Students are required to write a reflection on the work they have done, what they saw and their overall experience at the end of the project before handing it in. Moreover, it is advisable to take pictures (if allowed) during work as evidence and to share during their presentation for the closing ceremony in November.
Why?
We want to prepare our students for future role in society which enable the students to gain knowledge and practise the good moral values. Besides that through this attachment, it can involve the importance of teaching basic life skills to students, since they are lacking to the ability to socialize, think, analyse and develop common sense. Thus, from the job skills, hopefully they would know how to dress properly, be responsible and punctual to work, have good work ethnic, maintain good hygience as well as be good at what they do.
