As a Year 7 and 8 student, you can already start thinking about your career pathways.
The important things for you to focus on are :
Being aware of your current strengths, interests and weaknesses. You can identify them through various credible personality tests, for example Holland Code Test (RIASEC) www.onlinepersonalitytests.org
Early awareness of interests and strengths will lead to a better chance of finding a suitable and rewarding career for you.
Doing the Holland Code Test ( RIASEC ) will also help you channel to the appropriate option subjects to take for your GCE O’ levels.
Join competitions ( in school or outside ) that can bring you more CONFIDENCE in your abilities.
Look for opportunities in school, join volunteer work with family and friends eg. Beach Cleaning by Non Government Organisations such as Beach Bunch , Green Brunei, SCOT, Pusat KACA etc where you can develop skills such as teamwork and communication.
Challenge to improve yourselves on your weaknesses, eg. shyness around unfamiliar people, time management. Read books, join short courses, listen to advice from parents, teachers, older siblings and apply strategies on these self improvement.
