Let's be real: State testing is how we are judged. Yes, we want the kids to read well, but we also want them to do well on the state test. This little trick, IVF, is a great way to get kids ready for the state test. This trick will help your kids read those LONG passages and keep the details straight in their heads, especially for the Performance Tasks. Go through the slideshow below and then hand out a blank sheet of paper for each article. Kids will then develop the habit on the state test of taking notes this way.
