Chapter 3: Communicating accurate and informative information for your product
Product attributes play a vital role in providing customers with information (such as Brand, Materials, Ingredients, etc) that helps with their shopping journey and manage expectations by allowing them to make more informed purchases.
Thus, it is important to ensure that all information filled in are accurate, informative and up to date.
[Things to Note]
Please ensure that spelling and grammar is correct.
Kindly omit the use of the symbol “&” and write the word “and” instead for product content.
Please ensure no extra spacing after the last sentence/word.
All attributes should have the bullet point ‘•’ where is it necessary.
Take out all trademark logos from the given information.
Every brand’s attributes should be uniformed.
Do not include unclaimed facts about the product i.e. Indicated in content ‘Rich in Anti-oxidants’ when it is not on the packaging.
(1) How accurately fill up product attribute information?
a. Product Pack Size
Ensure that the unit of measurement of the pack size is the same as what is being printed on the product packaging.
If the product pack size is in "grams", please do not convert the size to "kg".
b. Key Information
Should not be blank.
Only feature information that are enticing and highlighting the main selling points of the product.
For fruits, marketing information/claims are not allowed. Any factual information claim needs to be on the labels itself.
Bullet Point Format
Not more than 5 lines.
Points should be in summarised.
Short Paragraph Format
Information should be in full sentence structure.
Not more than 100 words.
Multi-packs / Flavours
Information on flavours / variants should be listed down in bullet point form.
c. Additional Information
To input "FYI" information such as:
History of brand
Year product was founded
Fun facts
Should be in a short story format.
No minimum word count.
For cases of empty key information, upload the content meant for additional information to key information instead.
d. Preparation
Product Usage
Use number sequencing for the steps.
Add headers when necessary.
Information should be in full sentence structured.
Food Cooking Methods
If there are multiple cooking methods, it is compulsory to include headers. (Refer to the image below)
Underline each header

If there are more than one header, insert a bullet point for each header.
e. Storage
Generic
Information should be in full sentence structured and in bullet point form.
Directions & Warnings
If there are directions & warnings, it is compulsory to include headers. (Refer to the image below)
Underline each header

If there are more than one header, insert a bullet point for each header.
f. Ingredients
Generic
Capitalise the first letter of every ingredient.
Insert a comma and spacing after every ingredient.
Underline and insert bullet point for the ‘Allergen/Contains’ info.
If there are more than one specific ingredient, underline and put a bullet point for each one of them.
Multi-packs / Flavours
If a product contains allergen advices, underline the “Allergen advice: /May contain: /Contains:” .
If a product contains allergen advices for more than one ingredient, underline the "Ingredients".

(4) Inaccurate product attribute information
You will be notified by your Accounts Manager to if your listing comprise of inaccurate product attribute information. Please make sure to update the product listing with accurate information within the 2 days of noticed period.

a. Outline product specifications
Present shoppers with essential product details.
b. Detail the features, benefits, usage and instructions of the product
Provide information regarding your product’s features and benefits as well as highlighting the benefits that buyers will receive when using you product.
c. Indicate disclaimers, warnings and/or warranties (If any)
Specify any disclaimers (e.g. dietary information), warnings (e.g. switch off product after 1 hour of usage) as well as product warranties and their warranty periods.
