Khajiit Rito Kalshan

 

Description

There is a rumor that a group called The Friends of Dead Jinny are working in Skyrim and wish to contact the Dragonborn.

Who is this group and what do they want with you?

One of their associates has placed something in your inventory that requires further investigation.


This mod will allow the player to acquire a collection of old Khajiit, magic rings. These rings allow one to conjure decorative plants into the game world. Jaxonz Positioner or the likes can then be used to move them about. Some cannot be picked or planted and only exist to add a bit of color and player customization to the game. Others can be picked every few days for a base ingredient that matches the plant's type.


The plants included are : 

Dodgy Deathbells

Lousy Lavender 

Orrible Orchids 

Terrible Thistles 

Some flowering bushes that I haven't released to the public. 

Aspens

Pines (plain, snow) 

Ferns 

(More will be added in the future) 


This mod is a complete remake of the original and is NOT compatible with it. It uses a new framework for casting the plants. 

Use

A book, Friends Of Dead Jinny should be placed into your inventory.

Read it and follow the clues. (Have tried hard not to make them too easy or too hard)

Using or equipping each gift will trigger the next part of the quest

Check your inventory on a regular basis for any notes or items placed there by "a friend"

Equipping a ring will give you a set of spells

Just cast the spell where you want the plant. The plant will appear where the spell hits.

Unequip the ring to remove the spells.

If you hit an NPC or other object, the plant may appear in the air. Jaxonz Positioner or the likes can then be used to make final adjustments to scale and position. (STRONGLY RECOMMENDED) 


Notes

All placed plants and trees are activators. 

Some will give an ingredient every few days. 

Larger trees will place a "navcut" static where they are. (In the form of a short post attached to the navcut) This navcut punches a hole in the navmesh. The post is used so Jaxonz has something to grab. In most cases, NPCs will try to avoid it. 

You can move the tree with Jaxonz and place it elsewhere. You can also move the navcut static. Place it beside the tree and ensure that is protruding into the ground/navmesh. Now slide it into the tree and lock it into place. 

On placement, most trees and plants should rotate into an upright position and lower themselves a set amount. They will then rotate a random amount. This is quite normal for this mod. (They will not wander like mannequins tend to do... )
