Winterhold Tower Version
In this version, DIMP is in a tower in the mountains of Winterhold. There have been suggestions for this and also an adoption friendly version. This is the first step in doing that. While, I'm not fully satisfied with the final result, it is the best I can do in the limited time that I have.
DIMP is now located in a tower near Winterhold
All spells work as they did before
You can enter the tower by the front door / portal or via the teleport spell
There is an outdoors area on top of the tower. A place to relax and enjoy the view
Have tried to partition the master bed / office area from the companions sleeping area
Most doors/portals are now accessed from the living area
Smithing / Storage is still accessed via the Display area
If any NPC follows you when teleporting there, they can now escape on their own. Although, they may be rather puzzled at finding themselves on the other side of Tamriel...
Notes
All areas are set to no respawn
A travel gem and a pair of spell tomes will be placed into your inventory at game start These tomes grant a pair of spells that allow you to travel to and from DIMP There are another spare pair of tomes inside DIMP
The travel gem and spells can be favorited
When equipped, the travel gem grants +50 carry capacity
DIMP uses the game's fast travel system Your companions will correctly follow you there
All displays are from Modders Display Compendium. I have also added some vanilla displays and weapons racks It is not meant to be a huge armory. Just somewhere for special stuff It is quite bare on first arrival. It's up to you to collect and add to displays
The chests are set to respawn
Each area is in its own reality
I use "My Home Is Your Home" to house many of my companions there. They will happily move between living, sleeping and work areas
Unwanted Stalkers and Visitors
If you teleport before an NPC finishes their current line of dialogue with you, they will sometimes get teleported as well. To return them, repeat the process in the reverse direction. (With a little imagination, this could be used to one's advantage.)
Solution: Wait a few seconds after an NPC finishes talking to you before teleporting there.
Lost Items
For those who have lost items from the displays (mannequins excluded), there is a chest under the tree in the display area. Use tcl from the console to get to it. It contains replacement items for each of the unique displays. For mannequins not displaying equipped items, try removing an item and returning it. This has worked for me in the past
