Flag Detail is a six-week cycle during which cadets involve themselves in understanding the significance of the flag, the act of raising it, and the essence of patriotism. Each morning, cadets get together at a designated time to hoist the flag while playing the national anthem. In the afternoon, they gather again to respectfully lower and fold the flag, showcasing their unwavering patriotism and respect for their country. After participating in flag detail for six weeks, a cadet becomes eligible to receive a ribbon that acknowledges their commitment to instilling values of patriotism and respect towards their country. All NS1 Cadets are required to attend for at least one cycle.
