Rhinocricidae

This family contains 38 genera in 4 sub-families largely distributed in the Americas, Asia, and Oceania. Enormous variability in size, coloration, and range is an indicator of the family's large range and the differing microclimes each species inhabits, with at least one species establishing itself as an adventive species outside of its native range. Five genera with upwards of ten species have been cultured.
