The Millipede Enthusiast's Database

Welcome to The Millipede Enthusiast's Database (TMED). This is a site dedicated to collecting information concerning the keeping, breeding, and conservation of Diplopoda, more commonly known as millipedes or millipeds, as well as to contribute where possible to the taxonomic and life history conversations surrounding this class.

Our site model is crowd-sourcing, and as such the information contained within comes from a wide variety of sources: observations made by the TMED team, scientific articles, verifiable reports made by enthusiasts, and so on. It is hoped that this virtual library can help dispel the misinformation surrounding millipedes, and allow for a greater understanding of how to best care for and conserve these fascinating creatures in captivity and in the wild. Fact-checkers welcome.

If you would like to submit a report and photos to TMED, please use our report form here. If you would like to submit more than 10 photographs or only photographs/videos, please email them to us here.
