A multi-piece mechanical shaft coupling used to transmit torque between offset shafts in power transmission assemblies. They are useful in printing applications where roll adjustment is normal and will still transmit power even when shaft adjustments are made. [1]
These specific couplings can be used in woodworking, packaging, papermaking, converting, and printing. These couplings are sometimes called “offset” couplings and can achieve offsets of as high as 10 inches.
