Curious About 3D Printing?
This 3D printer is the Ender 3 Pro model and it prints on a flat print bed. The nozzle allows for an increased height in the z-direction.
3D printers use different filaments including PLA, ABS, TPU, etc. They heat the filament as it comes through the extruder with a very hot nozzle (between 200 and 240 degrees Celsius usually).
3D printers use stepper motors to move the filament and extruder in very small steps (in millimeters) to build parts layer by layer.
To upload a file for the printer to print, a “slicer” software is used. A slicer called “IdeaMaker” is on the laptop right now.
