MCHELP app: Teens can confidentially and anonymously reach out to professional crisis counselors via text messaging 24-hours a day/7 days a week and receive an immediate reply if they or a friend is struggling with: bullying, alcohol, drug use, depression, relationship conflicts, exams/finals, anxiety or if they just need to talk. The app is available for download on iTunes and Google Play. This free service is provided by The McHenry County Community Foundation, Northwestern Medicine and McHenry County Crisis Line.
Northwestern Medicine Woodstock Emergency Mental Health Services: If you or someone you know needs to reach the Emergency Mental Health Team, please call 1-800-765-9999. offers comprehensive behavioral health services, including 24-hour crisis intervention, problem-solving/support, referral to available resources, linkages to ongoing services, face-to-face assessment, screening admissions to local- and state-operated mental health facilities, grief support, Critical Incident Debriefing (CISD) services, consulting and community education.
