High School Visits
We strongly value the opportunity for our students to connect with college admission representatives through visits at Marian Central Catholic. While we ask students to register at least 24 hours in advance, we understand that students may occasionally learn about a visit on the day it occurs. In those situations, we make every effort to accommodate interested students and allow them to attend whenever possible.
Either Shawn Wochner, College Counselor, or Julie Diamond, Guidance Secretary, will connect with you before or after your visit to learn any pertinent updates about your institution to share with our students.
CollegeStock
CollegeStock is our signature four-day college exploration event held each March. During lunch periods, students have the opportunity to connect with admission representatives to learn about academic programs, ask questions, and explore a variety of post-secondary options all without leaving school.
2027 dates will be March 8 through 10 (with the 11th being dedicated to our military partners). To sign up, please click on this interest form.
College Panels (NEW in 2026-27)
Each spring, Marian Central hosts a series of college panels designed to provide students with focused insight into a variety of academic pathways and college experiences. Each panel is held during a 46-minute class period and is open to all interested students, while also being integrated into a designated class to ensure strong student participation.
Panel topics include Engineering, Pre-Med, Nursing, Business, Honors Programs, Catholic Colleges, Jesuit Colleges, and General College Exploration. These sessions allow admission professionals to share information about their institutions, discuss academic opportunities, and answer student questions in a collaborative panel format.
Invitations to participate in the panel series are distributed in early fall, with panel dates scheduled throughout the spring semester.

College Application Night
Held each August, College Application Night serves as the official kickoff to Marian Central's senior college counseling program. This event provides seniors and their families with essential information and resources to begin the college application process with confidence. A keynote speaker is invited to share their insight with our students and families.
College Information Night
Held each January, College Information Night provides sophomores, juniors, and their families with an opportunity to learn more about the college search, application, and decision-making process. Featuring a panel of college admission professionals from a variety of institutions, the program covers topics such as building a college list, navigating applications, understanding admission requirements, evaluating financial considerations, and finding the right college fit. This interactive event allows families to hear directly from admission professionals and ask questions as they begin planning for life after high school.
NextGrad High School Parnter
Marian Central Catholic High School is proud to partner with NextGrad to connect students with colleges, universities, and organizations in meaningful ways. Our NextGrad digital display is prominently located in the Athletic Commons which is the main entrance area that every student, family, visitor, and guest passes through when entering the building. This high-visibility location provides excellent exposure for institutions looking to share opportunities, events, and important messages with the Marian Central community.
