College Representatives interested in visiting Marian Central Catholic High School:
If you would like to visit Marian Central Catholic High School , please visit https://counselorcommunity.com/ and search RepVisits for Marian Central Catholic High School. Visit requests can also be submitted via E-mail to jdiamond@marian.com.
Visits will be In Person or Virtual (whichever the college rep prefers)
Marian Central Catholic High School is located approximately 55 miles northwest of O'Hare International Airport in McHenry County.
Each fall and spring, admission representatives from colleges and universities around the country visit Marian Central Catholic to meet with prospective students. Attending these visits is beneficial because:
Students have a chance — in their own town — to meet face-to-face with admission representatives to ask specific questions.
Students have unique opportunities to make contact with individuals who may be evaluating their applications in the future and specific contacts at colleges to whom they can send questions.
Students can let colleges know they are seriously interested in attending.
Sometimes representatives, particularly ones from state universities, will give early reads on students' transcripts, test scores and course selections during their visits. This helps students assess their fit at those institutions and figure out what they can do to improve their chances of getting in.
Visit Calendar
College visits are listed in SCOIR, on the calendar below, on the Marian Website Calendar, and on a calendar hanging up on a bulletin board in the Guidance office. Only seniors and juniors may attend these visits. Sophomores may attend these visits during 2nd semester only.
Students who are interested in meeting with a particular college representative must sign up for the visit in SCOIR at least one day prior to the date of the visit. Students must talk to their teachers prior to the visit to make sure it is OK for them to miss that class period. The teachers have the FINAL SAY in whether or not a student may attend a visit during the school day. Students will receive passes to attend college visits from Mrs. Diamond on the day of the visit.
