Leave/Join Messages

What are Leave/Join messages?

Leave/Join messages (as the name entails) are messages sent to your leave/join channel when a user joins or leaves your server. They can be enabled/disabled and customized to your liking.

How do I enable/disable them?

They're enabled by default however if you've disabled them and can't figure out how to get them to come back on again - you can follow this link to a Google Document containing all mmbot/config commands (you'll be looking for doUserJoinedMessage and doUserLeftMessage)

Can I use any variables in the Leave/Join messages?

Yes, here's a list of them:

Profanity Scanning

Please note that all welcome/leave messages are scanned using maxbot's profanity scanner to try and reduce use of swear words in the first message a user receives when joining a server! For more information, click here.
