Numerace is a fast-paced mental math showdown where participants race against the clock to solve numerical problems with speed and accuracy. This event highlights quick thinking, sharp computation skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. Whether addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, or mixed operations—only the fastest and most accurate math racers will rise to the top.
Participants compete individually in a timed mental math challenge.
The competition consists of multiple rounds, each with increasing levels of difficulty (Easy, Average, Difficult).
Only mental computation is allowed—no calculators, scratch paper, or digital devices.
Each round begins with a projected or announced question, and participants must write the answer on their answer boards or sheets.
Time limits per question may vary depending on difficulty:
Easy: 5–10 seconds
Average: 10–15 seconds
Difficult: 15–20 seconds
Participants must hold up their answers immediately when time is called.
Points System (suggested format):
Easy questions: 1 point
Average questions: 2 points
Difficult questions: 3 points
Once the round ends, all sheets/boards will be collected or inspected by facilitators.
No erasures or altered answers are allowed after the timer stops.
The top scorers from each round advance until only the finalists remain.
Final round consists of sudden-death mental math: first error leads to elimination.
The participant with the highest score or last person standing in sudden death wins Numerace.
Ties will be settled with a special set of rapid-fire questions.
Participants must observe honesty and silence throughout the event.
Any form of cheating or disruptive behavior will lead to disqualification.
