Math-A-Moves celebrates talent, rhythm, and creativity by showcasing students who can both excel in mathematics and shine on the dance floor. Participants or groups perform choreographed dance routines that highlight coordination, confidence, and artistry. It’s the perfect blend of math-smart and groove-ready—proving that mathematicians can dance, too!
Participants may perform solo, duo, or as a group, depending on event guidelines set by the organizers.
Each performance must be 2–4 minutes long, staying within the time limit to avoid penalties.
Dance routines may follow any genre, but should reflect creativity, synchronization, stage presence, and overall entertainment value.
Participants must submit their music in the required format before the performance (e.g., MP3/USB/email).
Costumes must be appropriate, safe, and school-compliant, avoiding offensive or risky attire.
Props may be used, provided they are safe and do not damage the stage; performers must manage their own setup and cleanup.
Judging Criteria may include:
Choreography and Creativity
Execution and Synchronization
Stage Presence and Confidence
Overall Performance Impact
A judging panel will score performances based on the official rubric provided by the organizers.
Time penalties may be applied for exceeding or falling short of the required performance duration.
Participants must maintain professionalism and sportsmanship at all times.
Winners will be determined by total scores, with awards such as Best Dancer, Best Group, and People’s Choice (if applicable).
