The Math Quiz Bee is an academic competition designed to challenge students’ knowledge, accuracy, and speed in answering mathematical questions across varying levels of difficulty. This event allows participants to showcase their mastery of concepts, reasoning skills, and problem-solving abilities. With easy, average, and difficult rounds, the Quiz Bee brings out the best in young mathematicians striving for excellence.
The Quiz Bee consists of 30 questions in total, divided into three rounds:
10 Easy Questions
10 Average Questions
10 Difficult Questions
Participants may compete individually or as a team, depending on the organizers’ format.
Each question will be displayed or read twice before the timer begins.
Time limits per question:
Easy: 10–15 seconds
Average: 20–30 seconds
Difficult: 40–60 seconds
Participants must write their answers on the answer sheet/whiteboard provided and show it when the timer ends.
No erasures or altered answers will be accepted after time is declared up.
Scoring System (suggested format):
Easy: 1 point each
Average: 2 points each
Difficult: 3 points each
Facilitators and judges will validate all answers, and only the official answer key will be followed.
In case of a tie, a tiebreaker round of 3–5 challenging questions will be given (answerable within 30–45 seconds each).
Participants must remain honest and avoid any form of cheating, including whispering, signaling, or copying.
All gadgets must be surrendered or turned off before the competition begins.
Disruptive behavior may lead to point deductions or disqualification at the discretion of the judges.
The highest total score after all 30 questions (plus any tiebreakers) will be declared the winner.
Special awards may be given such as: Highest Scorer per Round, Most Consistent Performer, and Quiz Bee Champion.
The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.
