Math Peryahan brings the fun and excitement of traditional Filipino peryahan games into the world of mathematics! Participants enjoy booths inspired by classic fair attractions—now designed with mathematical twists involving probability, number sense, estimation, and logical thinking. It’s a lively, interactive activity where students play, learn, and win, all while experiencing math the Filipino way.
Participants may visit and play at any Math Peryahan booth throughout the allotted time.
Each booth features a Filipino-inspired game (e.g., piko, hulaan, color game, mini-ring toss) modified to include a math challenge or probability-based outcome.
Players are given a set number of play coupons (e.g., 5–10 coupons) to use across different booths.
Each game requires one coupon per attempt, unless otherwise stated by the booth facilitator.
Game facilitators explain the rules and the math concept used in the booth before each play.
Players earn points, tokens, or stamps depending on their performance at each booth.
Bonus points may be awarded for solving additional math questions related to the game.
Participants must follow all booth-specific rules as instructed by facilitators.
Winners will be determined based on the total points/tokens collected across all booths.
Ties will be broken with a short math challenge (mental computation, estimation, or logic puzzle).
Prizes may be claimed at the redemption area after tallying all points.
