You can find our Group Charter and our considerations and procedures for problematic participation below. Although we have put considerable effort in these documents, they are not finished. Feel free to offer us your ideas, help or guidance, or critique. We will listen with appreciation for your efforts to support us, and are open to adjusting our way of working if we are convinced by your views.
This is a great question, and although we have made a choice for now, we are open to feedback and arguments to making our events open for everyone. The risks of having events for masculine-identifying people only, is that certain lived experiences will not be present, which creates biases.
However, some of our events are intended for more intimate conversations. We noticed that many men do not feel at ease talking about certain topics when they feel that they could be criticized by people who have different lived experiences. Having a conversation about masculinity with only people present who identify as masculine, means that everyone is talking about themselves.
At the same time, we try to remain accountable. See Accountability.
