We constantly share our lives with other people, people we love, care about, are indifferent to, or even dislike. No matter how we feel about people, we want to make sure we treat them with respect. The most effective tool to treat people with respect is to allow those around us to make their own choices. Choices about… anything that is important to them! It is critical to build space for (ongoing) consent.
Consent is about more than sex and dating! Take for example COVID: it can be hard to negotiate who we meet, how we meet, and what that means for other people in our bubble.
In this workshop, we will explore together unexpected areas where consent is important and how we can make consent a part of our everyday life.
Thursday May 27: 8pm - 10pm, on Zoom.
This workshop will be in English. There will be mention of situations where consent might not be respected, such as sexual assault and harassment.
