Now, church TRADITION teaches that John 1:1 c means that since the Word was made FLESH and the Word was God, then that proves that Almighty God Himself became FLESH.
And those Christians argue, what else could it possibly mean seeing that the Old Testament clearly teaches us that there is only ONE God?
And thus, in the minds of both Trinitarian Christians and the Oneness Pentecostal Christians, Jesus has to be Almighty God Himself in the flesh.
But in the minds of Biblical Unitarian Christians, we see the Word in John 1:1 as the word of PROPHECY spoken out from the MOUTH of Almighty God. And then, God PERFORMED His word, as in, His spoken word of prophecy to be MADE flesh.
In other words, John 1:1-14 teaches us that God MANIFESTED His spoken word of PROPHECY to be FULFILLED. And thus, the word made flesh is the SAYING that came out form the MOUTH of Almighty God that He Himself made to become flesh, His HUMAN Son born of a Virgin woman.
This Verse Study on John 1:1c is a except from the above book.
John 1:14.
“And the Word was MADE FLESH, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”
John 1:14 does NOT say that God was made flesh!
John 1:14 does NOT say that God the Son was made flesh!
John 1:14 does NOT say that Son of God was made flesh!
John 1:14 SAY that the “logos” was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
So ask yourself WHEN the Apostles of Jesus BEHELD the glory of Jesus as being the only begotten Son of Almighty God, the Father? Keep in mind that THEY beheld hs glory and the Apostles of Jesus did not even know Jesus when he was born. They did not meet Jesus until God SENT His human Son into the world. Also, keep in mind that John 7:39 clearly teaches us that during the ministry of Jesus that he was NOT YET GLORIFIED.
John 7:39.
“(But this spoke he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive, for the Holy Ghost was not yet given, because that Jesus was NOT YET GLORIFIED)”
And thus, the INTENDED meaning of the Apostle John in John 1:14 could NOT mean that the Apostles of Jesus saw the glory of Jesus during the days of his FLESH, because Jesus was not yet glorified until AFTER the cross and resurrection.
Therefore, the phrase in John 1:1 c, “...and the Word WAS God” cannot mean that the Word was LITERALLY the Almighty God Himself who then manifested HIMSELF to become flesh. The Apostle of Jesus did NOT teach that Jesus is Almighty God Himself in the flesh. That teaching is made-made church TRADITION.
And what some Trinitarian Christians do not tell their followers is that there is no definite article “the” in front of the Greek word “theos” like there is in John 1:1 b, “...and the Word was TOWARD the God…” And thus, the INTENDED meaning of John 1:1 c is, “...and the SAYING was a god.”
Now, some Christians come unglued, so to speak, when they hear other Christians teaching that Jesus is a god who is under and subject to his God and Father. But that is what the Bible ITSELF clearly teaches us. Did not Jesus tell Mary Magdalene to NOT TOUGH him because he has not yet ascended to his God and Father?
Please read John 20:17.
“Jesus said unto her, Touch me NOT; FOR (Or BECAUSE) I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to MY God, and your God.”
And then in Luke: 24. 39,40, we see the now GLORIED Son of MAN, Jesus descending back down from heaven that very SAME day that God raised him from the dead. And that same day in the evening Jesus told his disciples to TOUCH him.
But earlier that same day in the morning, Jesus told Mary Magdalene to NOT TOUCH him. And the reason Jesus gave Mary Magdalene to NOT TOUCH him was he had not yet ASCENDED to his God and Father.
So, to me, the Son of MAN Jesus ascended into heaven to his God and Father as a mortal human being. God then GLORIFIED His human Son by CHANGING his mortality to the Divine nature of IMMORTALITY.
And then, the now GLORIFIED and HIGHLY EXALTED Son of MAN, Jesus, descended back down to the earth to SHOW himself ALIVE, never to die again.
Please read Luke 24:39,40.
“Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: HANDLE me, (Or TOUCH me) and see; for a spirit has not flesh and bones, as you see me have. (But just hours before, Jesus told Mary Magdalene to NOT TOUCH him. And thus, something happened to Jesus that morning AFTER he ascended up into heaven to his God and Father)
Luke 24:40. And when he had thus spoken, he showed them his hands and his feet.”
So then, when you compare the accounts in the four gospels, then you will see that this was the SAME day that Jesus told Mary Magdalene to NOT TOUCH him.
So, to me, the obvious answer to what happen when Jesus ASCENDED into heaven to his God and Father that Sunday morning was that God GLORIFIED His human Son and GAVE him a NEW NAME.
And in that new name that God gave to Jesus is ALL power and authority, according to Matthew 28:18.
Now, some Christians may argue that Thomas called Jesus his God by saying, my Lord and my God. And thus, they wrongly concluded that Thomas knew that Jesus was Almighty God Himself, because there can only be ONE God.
Therefore, to Trinitarian Christians, Jesus has to be Almighty God Himself. And the reason that they get so defensive when Biblical Unitarian Christians teach that the human Jesus was made to become a god, is because they have not been taught the WHOLE word of Almighty God. But rather, they have only been taught what their own church denomination teaches.
In other words, they have not truly understood that WE are given the SAME promise that Almighty God the Father gave to His Son, Jesus.
Please read John 17:11-26. I implore you to not just simple “skim” through this passage of Scripture having the attitude, “Oh, I have read that a hundred times before”.
You may have read OVER it 1000 times before. But have you TRULY comprehending what Jesus is teaches us?
Please read and STUDY John 17:11-16.
“And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your own name those whom You have given me, THAT (Or so THAT) they may be ONE, as WE are.
John 17:12. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name: those that You gave me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the Scripture might be fulfilled.
John 17:13. And now come I to You; (Or now I am coming to You) and these things I speak in the world, that they might have MY JOY fulfilled in themselves. (What joy is Jesus talking about? To me, it is the joy that God SET before Jesus to ENDURE the cross, according to Hebrews 12:2.
In other words, the joy that God set before Jesus was the PROMISE of eternal life and to dwell in the house of Gd forever. And Jesus gives to us who believe that SAME things that God gave to him)
John 17:14. I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. (In other words, we who believe in Jesus are NOT of the world in the SAME WAY that Jesus is NOT of the world)
John 17:15. I pray not that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil.
John 17:16. They are NOT of the world, even as I am not of the world. (Again, Jesus is teaching us that WE who believe in Jesus are NOT of the world in the SAME WAY that Jesus is NOT of the world.
Therefore, when Jesus said in John 8:24, “Ye are from beneath; I am from above: you are of this world; I am not of this world”. Jesus did NOT mean that he pre-existed in heaven and came down out of heaven above.
But rather, Jesus means that he was BORN of God from above and the unbelieving Jews will remain dead in their sins until they BELIEVE and are BORN of God from above.
In other words, BEFORE we believed in Jesus we ALSO were from BENEATH and OF THIS world. For you see, being from beneath means that we used to be the children of the Devil. But after we believed, we are no longer of the world)
John 17:17. Sanctify them through Your truth: Your word is truth. (And a lot of church TRADITION is FALSE)
John 17:18. As You have SENT me into the world, even so have I also SENT them into the world. (Again, in the SAME WAY that the God of Jesus SENT him into the world, Jesus SENT his disciples INTO the world.
Therefore, when John 3:16 says that God sent His only begotten Son INTO the world, it does NOT mean that God sent His so-called pre-existing Son down from heaven into the world.
But rather, John 3:16 means that God sent His ANOINTED human Son OUT into the world just like Jesus anointed his disciples with the Holy Spirit and power from on high before he sent them out into the world to preach the gospel.
And then, after the cross and resurrection, God RECEIVED His only BEGOTTEN Son, so that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Please read the Verse Study John 3:16 The TRUE Meaning!)
John 17:19. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. (Or through their faith in the word of God, and more particularly, the gospel of salvation)
John 17:20. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them ALSO which shall believe on me through their word; (So then, every thing that Jesus prayed in this prayer is speaking to and about us who BELIEVE the true gospel of Jesus Christ)
John 17:21. That they ALL may be ONE; as You, Father, are in me, and I in You, that they ALSO may be ONE in us: that the world may believe that You have sent me. (So then, when Jesus said in John 10:30 that he and the Father are ONE, that does NOT mean that Jesus was saying that he is one and the self same God as the Father.
But rather, it means that Jesus is one in AGREEMENT with his God and Father)
John 17:22. And the GLORY which You GAVE me I have GIVEN THEM; that they may be ONE, even as WE are ONE: (So then, the SAME GLORY that the God of Jesus gave to His human Son, Jesus. In John 17:5, Jesus has given to us who believe as a PROMISE which we will receive at his coming if we endure unto the end.
In other words, if Jesus being ONE with his God and Father means that Jesus is Almighty God Himself, then when Jesus returns, we who believe will ALSO be made ONE with the Father.
And thus, that means that WE will become ALMIGHTY God like Jesus, according to the way Trinitarians Christians INTERPRET Jesus being ONE with the Father in John 10:30.
But we all know that we will not become Almighty God when WE become ONE with the Father and Jesus.
And thus, no Christian should dogmatically demand that John 10;30 means that Jesus is saying that he is Almighty God Himself by saying that he and the Father are ONE)
John 17:23. I in them, and You in me, that THEY may be made perfect in ONE; and that the world may know that You have SENT me, and has loved them, as You have loved me. (The Greek word translated as “SENT” means that God COMMISSIONED His human Son before He sent the Son of MAN, Jesus out into the world to preach the kingdom of God is at hand.
The English word “commission” means to give authority and power to someone to enable them to accomplish the task that they are given to accomplish)
John 17:24. Father, I will that they ALSO, whom You have given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my GLORY, which You have GIVEN me: (Or that You PROMISED to give to me before the world to be) FOR (Or BECAUSE) You loved me before the foundation of the world.
John 17:25. O righteous Father, the world has not known You: but I have known Your, and these have known that You have SENT (Or COMMISSIONED) me.
John 17:26. And I have declared unto them Your name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith You have loved me may be in them, and I in them.”
The Greek word translated as the “world” also means the AGE. So then, The phrase. “Before the foundation of the world” could just as easily be translated as “Before the foundation of the AGE”.
In other words, when the Bible speaks of the foundation of the “world” it does NOT mean the very being of the creation of the Universe in the eternity past.
But rather, it means the RESTORING of the surface of the earth to begin ANOTHER AGE. I will explain what I mean by this in the following chapter.

The TRUE Meaning of the Foundation of the World!
Does the phrase “the FOUNDATION of the world” mean the original creation of the earth in the eternity past? What does the Bible ITSELF teach us?
Some Christians my wonder, what does the foundation of the world have to do with the true sound Biblical meaning of John 1:1?
You see, we really only have two possible interpretations of John 1:1-14.
#1. The Trinitarian and Oneness Pentecostal interpretation that Almighty God Himself became flesh.
And thus, if a Christians interprets John 1:1 c to mean that the Word is Almighty God HIMSELF, then they must interpret every other verse of Scripture to AGREE with their INTERPRETATION of John 1:1-14 that Almighty God incarnated HIMSELF to become flesh.
#2. The Biblical Unitarian interpretation the spoken word of prophecy was made to become flesh.
And thus, if we interpret John 1:1 c to mean that the human Son of MAN, Jesus, was made to become a god under and subject to his God and Father, then we must interpret every other verse of Scripture to AGREE with that INTERPRETATION of John 1:1-14.
Again, the Biblical Unitarian interpretation of the whole Bible is that the spoken word of PROPHECY was FULFILLED by Almighty God who PERFORMED His word to be MADE flesh first.
And then, after the human Son of God obeyed all that his God and Father asked him to do, Almighty God HIGHLY exalted him to become a god to rule for Yahweh in the name of Yahweh for 1000 years.
And then Jesus will step down from ruling a God over the whole earth and commit the ruling of the earth back into the hands of his God and Father, according to 1 Corinthians 15:20-28.

And after you understand that the REASON that Yahweh did that is to STILL His ENEMIES, Satan and the fallen angels.
Then you can understand that God made His human Son to become a Lord, a King, and a God, to JUDGE Satan and the fallen angels.
