Is Jesus “GOD”, as in, the ONE TRUE ALMIGHTY God Himself?
***What Does Hebrews 1:8 TRULY mean?
Here is Hebrews 1:8 from the KJV. “But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of thy kingdom.”
Does Hebrews 1:8 PROVE that Jesus is Almighty God Himself in the flesh?
In other words, does this verse of Scripture prove that the Almighty God the Son BECAME FLESH?|
Or does it mean that the HUMAN Son of God BECAME a God under and subject to his God and Father?
To me, the Bible ITSELF clearly teaches us that the Son of MAN, Jesus was MADE to BECOME a Lord, a King, and a God AFTER the cross and resurrection for the purpose of JUDGING Satan and the fallen angels.

Is Jesus a God MADE in the IMAGE of His God?
Did Jesus BECOME a “God” by TITLE being HIGHLY EXALTED by Almighty God the Father AFTER the cross?
Here is my explanation of Hebrews 1:8 in the LIGHT of the WHOLE word of Almighty God.
I always try to share with my readers the vital importance of keeping the verse being studied in the context of where it is found when interpreting what that verse means.
And I also stress with equal importance to ALWAYS compare your interpretation with other Scriptures.
This is done so that there is no contradiction between the “interpretation” of the verse being studied and the WHOLE word of God.
So then, here is Hebrews 1:8 in its immediate context.
My comments in parenthesis share how I have come to understand each word of phrase in this passage of Scripture.
In other words, the comments are my “interpretation” of what each part of this passage of Scripture is teaching us.
Hebrews 1:4-9.
“Being MADE so much BETTER than the angels, as he has by INHERITANCE OBTAINED a more excellent NAME than they. (Here we see that the Son of MAN, Jesus, BEING MADE HIGHER than the angels after the cross and resurrection.
For you see, at first, Jesus was MADE a little LOWER that the angels, according to Psalm 8:5 and Hebrews 2:5-10.
And then, after the cross and resurrection, the human Son of God was HIGHLY EXALTED and GIVEN a NEW NAME that is higher than any other name, according to Philippians 2:6-11 and the prophecies, such as Isaiah 62:2-5 and Isaiah 9:6,7)
Hebrews 1:5. For unto which of the angels said He at any time, You are My Son, THIS DAY have I begotten you? (Here we see the writer of Hebrews quoting the PROPHECY in Psalm 2:7 and asking the question, Has God ever said to ANY of His angels at ANY time, You are my Son, THIS DAY I have REGENERATED you?
Keep in mind that in the CONTEXT of the prophecy in Psalm 2:7, the Son is to become Yahweh’s King) And again, I WILL BE to him a [INTO] Father, and he SHALL BE to Me a [INTO] Son? (In other words, the prophecy of the FULNESS of the DIVINE nature and DEITY of Almighty God to DWELL in the Messiah was fulfilled in His GLORIFIED Son, Jesus.
And Jesus will ABIDE as ONE in UNITY and AGREEMENT with his God and Father.
Jesus is the FIRSTBORN among MANY BRETHREN and the SAME GLORY that God GAVE to Jesus, is ALSO promised to be given to us who BELIEVE, according to John 17:22)
Hebrews 1:6. And again, WHEN He brings in the FIRST BEGOTTEN into the world, (Speaking of the COMING of Jesus to rule as Yahweh’s King of kings and Lord of lords in the AGE to come) He says, And LET ALL the angels of God worship him.
Hebrews 1:7. And of the angels He says, Who makes His angels spirits, and His ministers a flame of fire.
Hebrews 1:8. But unto the Son He says, Your throne, O God, (Or your throne, THE God) is for ever and ever: a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of your kingdom.
Hebrews 1:9. You have loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; THEREFORE (Or for this REASON that you OBEYED all my WILL and you have walked in righteousness, hating evil) God, EVEN YOUR God, has ANOINTED you with the oil of GLADNESS above your fellows.”
The first thing I want to point out is that the Greek word “THEOS”, which the TRANSLATORS chose to TRANSLATE into the English word “God” with a capital “G”, can also be translated as “god” with a lowercase “g”.
For you see, it is the same Greek word “THEOS” that is used to refer to Satan, the Devil in 2 Corinthians 4:4.
2 Corinthians 4:4.
“But if our gospel is hidden, it is hidden to them that are lost:
2 Corinthians 4:4. In whom THE god (Or THE THEOS, the exact same Greek word used in Hebrews 1:8 when used to refer to the Son of Almighty God the Father.
In other words, by TITLE, Satan is CALLED the THEOS) of this world (Who) has blinded the minds of them which believe NOT, lest the LIGHT of the glorious gospel of Christ, (Or the glorious good news of the ANOINTED Messiah) who is the IMAGE of God, should SHINE unto them.”
The Greek word “theos” is equivalent to the Hebrew word “ELOHIM” in the Old Testament that is used to refer to Almighty God, the angels, and mankind.
One of the meanings of “elohim” means mighty one. Almighty Elohim is the mightiest of all the mighty ones, whom He Himself APPOINTED or SET to become Elohim or gods under and subject to Him.
In other words, Yahweh, the CREATOR is the MOST HIGH Elohim.
And Jesus was MADE to become an Elohim or a god under and subject to his God and Father.
To say this another way, the God of the Son of MAN, whom He MADE a little LOWER that the angels, He has now GLORIFIED him after the cross and resurrection.
Glorified means that Almighty God highly EXALTED His HUMAN Son ABOVE the angels and SET him on His own throne to rule and reign by His RIGHT hand SIDE for 1000 years during the AGE to come.
It also means that Jesus was given the Divine nature of immortality after the cross and resurrection, which is also promised to us, according to 2 Peter 1:4.
Now, please know and understand that Jesus is, has been, and always will be UNDER and SUBJECT unto his God and Father Almighty God the most high God, according to Revelation 3:12 and 1 Corinthians 15:20-28.
For you see, in Hebrews 1:6, we can CLEARLY see that it is WHEN Almighty God BRINGS in AGAIN His Son into the Earth, that the Father will say, LET ALL of the angels worship him.
I believe that the writer of Hebrews is quoting Psalm 97:7, which is a prophecy of the gods being confounded.
One of the meanings of the English word “confounded” means to be PROVEN WRONG.
And Lucifer will be proven WRONG for falsely accusing God for CREATING him evil.
For you see, by God CREATING Jesus a little LOWER or inferior to the angels to PROVE that even an inferior CREATION can live without sin if they so CHOOSE, then that PROVES God did NOT create Lucifer to become evil.
Let us go ahead and read that verse of Scripture.
Psalm 97:5-9.
“The hills melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth. (Remember that Almighty God the Father will BRING His firstborn whom He MADE His Lord of the whole earth, and say to the angels to worship him.
In other words, the New Testament says “angels”, but the Old Testaments says the “gods” or the Elohim.
And the context is specifically referring to the FALLEN angels or the fallen gods)
Psalm 97:6. The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory.
Psalm 97:7. Confounded be all those that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols: worship him, all you gods. (Now, when you look up the meanings of the Hebrew words, you can see that this verse is talking about the fallen angels who BOAST themselves worthy to enslave humans to make idols of them to worship them.
And now, Yahweh is commanding them to worship the human whom He has exalted to be ABOVE the Elohim or the angels)
Psalm 97:8. Zion heard, and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of Your judgments, O LORD.
Psalm 97:9. For You, LORD, are high above all the earth: You (Zion) are EXALTED (Or you Zion ASCEND) far above all gods.”
When Jesus comes again, at what church tradition calls his second coming, Almighty God will place His Son over His kingdom, called the kingdom of His dear Son.
And Jesus will reign in PEACE having no WARS for 1000 years UNTIL God has put all his enemies under his feet, according to 1 Corinthians 15:25,26, Hebrews 1:13, Matthew 22:44, Acts 3:34-36, Psalm 110:1, Isaiah 2:4, Micah 4:3, and Micah 4:6-8.
Then, at the end of the 1000-year reign of Jesus, the Son of God will COMMIT the kingdom of his God and Father BACK into the hands of his Father, Almighty God.
So then, is Jesus CALLED “THEOS”? Absolutely! But the Bible ITSELF does NOT teach us that the Son of God ALWAYS existed as the ETERNAL God the Son in the eternity past.
That VIEW of Jesus is READ INTO the Scriptures by Trinitarian Christians.
Revelation 12:9 teaches us that Satan has DECEIVED the WHOLE world.
Revelation 12:9.
“And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which DECEIVES the WHOLE world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”
Now, is it just a “coincidence” that the doctrine of the Trinity is believed by the MAJORITY of Christians throughout the world?
Or was the ANTICHRIST doctrine foretold to us by the Apostle John in 1 John 2:18-23.
Please consider the CONTROVERSY against the doctrine of the Trinity as it SLOWLY developed over three CENTURIES.
Many Christians were martyred because they would NOT bow their knee to accept the doctrine of the Trinity.
I myself am seeing that the FIRST FALSE VIEW was that of Almighty God the Father manifesting HIMSELF to become flesh.
And thus, what is known today as the Oneness Pentecostal doctrine came BEFORE the doctrine of the Trinity.
1 John 2:18-23.
“Little children, it is the last time: and as you have heard that antichrist shall come, even now there are many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
1 John 2:19. They (Speaking of the MANY antichrists) went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
1 John 2:20. But you have an unction from the Holy One, and you know all things.
1 John 2:21. I have not written unto you because you know not the TRUTH, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the TRUTH.
1 John 2:22. Who is a liar but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denies the Father AND the Son. (Please pay very close attention to what verse 22 is actually saying.
It is saying that those who DENY that Jesus is the ANOINTED one is an antichrist and a LIAR
And to dogmatically demand that Jesus is Almighty God HIMSELF, is actually DENYING that Almighty God DWELT in Jesus)
1 John 2:23. Whosoever denies the Son, the same has NOT the Father: (but) he that ACKNOWLEDGES the Son has the Father ALSO.”
Everything Jesus has or is, has been GIVEN to him of his God and Father Almighty God the Father the most high God.
Also, keep in mind that Satan, who is a fallen angel, is called THE “THEOS” of this present AGE.
And MAN is called a “THEOS” as well, according to Exodus 7:1.
But simply being called “god” by TITLE does not make Satan, nor man THE God, as in, Almighty God Himself.
For you see, the words, or terms, “God”, “Theos”, or “Elohim” are TITLES the same as the words King and Lord are TITLES.
And WE will be made lords and kings under Jesus who is UNDER his God and Father who MADE him Lord and Christ, according to Acts 2:36.
So, why then does the doctrine of the Trinity try to make Jesus, the Son of God, to be THE Almighty God Himself in the flesh?
Why do some Trinitarian Christians dogmatically demand that Jesus is EQUAL to Almighty God the Father in EVERY way where neither is GREATER than or LESS than the other.
For you see, that doctrine CONTRADICTS what the Bible ITSELF teaches us in SIMPLICITY.
In John 14:28, Jesus himself says that the Father is GREATER than him.
In John 5:19, and John 14:10, Jesus said that the Son can do NOTHING of himself and it was the Father DWELLING in him who did the works.
To me, I see Jesus as being the ANOINTED one of Almighty God.
God ANOINTED His human Son before He SENT His Christ out into the world to be a LIGHT to show us the Father.
Jesus prayed that we would KNOW that the FATHER as the ONLY TRUTHFUL GOD in John 17:3.
But what some Trinitarians Christians have failed in the past to see is that Jesus was promised to be GIVEN POWER after the cross and resurrection in John 17:2, according to Hebrews 12:2 and many PROPHECIES in the Old Testament.
And Jesus promised to give us the SAME GLORY that his God and Father GAVE to him in John 17:22.
John 17:1-3,22.
“These words spoke Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; GLORIFY Your Son, that Your Son ALSO may GLORIFY You:
John 17:2. As You have GIVEN him POWER over all flesh, THAT (Or in ORDER THAT) he (The GLORIFIED Son of MAN, after the cross and resurrection) should give eternal life to as many as You have GIVEN him.
John 17:3. And THIS is life eternal, that they might know YOU the ONLY TRUE God, AND Jesus Christ, whom YOU have sent…
…John 17:22. And the GLORY which You GAVE me I have GIVEN them; that they may be ONE, even as we are ONE: ”

And to me, the truth concerning who Jesus TRULY is, according to the Bible ITSELF, is the Biblical Unitarian view of Jesus.
Once Christians, Jews, Muslims, and even atheists understand the REASON that Yahweh CREATED the Son of MAN, Jesus, was to have DOMINION over the work of Yahweh’s hands.
And after you understand that the REASON that Yahweh did that is to STILL His ENEMIES, Satan and the fallen angels.
Then you can understand that God made His human Son to become “a” Lord, “a” King, and “a” God, under and subject to his God and Father in order to JUDGE Satan and the fallen angels.
