Book 1 Chapter 3.
Yahweh, God’s ENEMY, and God’s MESSIAH!
To understand the correct VIEW of God and His Messiah, you need to KNOW and UNDERSTAND that God has a REAL LITERAL ENEMY, Satan, the Devil and the fallen angels.
This is tool number 37.
TOOL #37.
The UNDERSTANDING that Almighty God, the Creator, has a REAL LITERAL ENEMY is one of the most important tools to make the Bible SIMPLE to UNDERSTAND.
For you see, if a Christian has the WRONG VIEW of God as being the ONE who CAUSES all of the EVIL in the world, then their understanding of the Scriptures will be CORRUPTED as well.
They will wrongly BLAME God for every bad thing that happens in their life.
Let me do a little review of what we already covered thus far.
In chapter 2, we covered the parable of the Sower sowing seed.
Jesus said, how can you understand any parable if you do not understand the parable of the SOWER sowing the seed.
Jesus explained that the SEED is the word of God. So, obviously, WE are the Sowers. Actually, the Son of MAN is the first Sower, and now, we are ambassadors in his stead, according to 2 Corinthians 5:17-21.
Now, the reason why some people are not saved is, God has an ENEMY, and they listen to that LYING god of this present world, Satan, the Devil, instead of listening the only TRUTHFUL God, the Creator.
The enemy of Yahweh, the Creator, STEALS God’s word before it can be planted in a person’s heart.
The enemy of God HINDERS Christians who believe God’s word. Thus, they do not grow and bear GOOD fruit.
The enemy PERSECUTES Christians, and some become discouraged and even fear to share God’s word with boldness.
The enemy DISTRACTS Christians with pleasures and riches of this present world so they do not bear the fruit of the Spirit.
The enemy DECEIVES Christians to sin so that their prayers are hindered.
And that is what we learn from just that ONE parable of the Sower sowing the seed.
So, tool number 38 is knowing and understanding that the BIG PICTURE of the Bible is, TWO OPPOSING Elohim.
In other words, Jesus came to SHOW us that the ONLY TRUTHFUL God is the Father, according to John 17:1-3.
Jesus also came to DESTROY the works of the LYING god, Satan, the Devil, who is God’s ENEMY.
TOOL #38.
Almighty God the FATHER is the ONLY TRUTHFUL God and Satan is the LYING god of the present world, according to 2 Corinthians 4:3,4.
Jesus told several more parables right after the parable of the Sower sowing the seed of God’s word.
Here in chapter 3, we will cover the parables of Jesus in Matthew 13:24-52. I will include the titles of each parable and separate parable as well.
Matthew 13:24-30.
The Parable of the Weeds
“Another parable he put forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed GOOD seed in his field: (The GOOD seed is the sound Biblical word of God. An example of BAD seed is Sower who sows MAN-MADE false doctrines that CONTRADICT God’s word.
To me, in my own opinion, teaching the earth is FLAT is NOT GOOD seed.
In my own opinion, teaching that the Father is the Son, and the Son is the Father, is NOT GOOD seed.
Teaching that Satan, the Devil is NOT a REAL LITERAL being is NOT GOOD seed.
Therefore, we need to teach the TRUTH of the WHOLE word of Almighty God for the seed of God’s word to be GOOD seed)
Matthew 13:25. But while men slept, his ENEMY came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. (Here we see, that even when the GOOD seed of God’s word is sown, God’s ENEMY come and sows WEEDS that hinder Christians from growing the way God intends.
What we learn here is that God Himself does NOT HINDER the spiritual growth of Christians. Rather, it is God’s ENEMY, Satan and the fallen angels who HINDER the spiritual grow of Christians.
Know and understand that Satan uses Christians that he has deceive to teach his doctrines of devils, according to 2 Corinthians 11:13-15)
Matthew 13:26. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
Matthew 13:27. So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, did not you sow GOOD seed in your field? From WHERE then, has it tares? (The SIMPLE answer is that the GOOD seed of God’s word produces strong Christians rooted and ground in the TRUTH of God’s word.
And the BAD seed of God’s ENEMY produces an unrighteous character in people who are the children of the Devil, according to 1 John 3:7-10)
Matthew 13:28. He said unto them, An ENEMY has done this. The servants said unto him, Will you then that we go and gather them up?
Matthew 13:29. But he said, Nay; lest while you gather up the tares, you root up also the wheat with them. (Here we see ONE of the reasons WHY God ALLOWS evil to exist UNTIL it is time to HARVEST His SAINTS)
Matthew 13:30. Let both grow together UNTIL the harvest: and in the time of harvest, I will say to the reapers, Gather you together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.”
In SIMPLICITY, the Christians who endure unto the end shall be saved.
The END refers to EITHER the time of the harvest or until a Christian dies.
Thus, if a Christians remains a good and faithful servant unto the END, they will inherit eternal life and enter into the CITY of God.
Remaining good and faithful means to NOT depart from the FAITH in Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
It ALSO means to REPENT and confess our sins so that God can CLEANSE us of ALL your unrighteousness after we are initially saved,
Also, the unsaved who reject Jesus as their Lord and Savior unto the END will be cast into the lake of fire to be destroy on the final Day of Judgment.
In other words, any person who REJECT Jesus can REPENT and confess that they have sinned with sincere godly sorrow, and God will forgive them and cleanse them of all their unrighteousness.
So, tool number 39 is understanding that there are two days of JUDGMENT.
TOOL #39.
Understanding that the Bible was given to the world for people to KNOW that they will be JUDGED as being DEAD in their sins if the REJECT Jesus as their Lord and Savior, according to John 3:16-21.
Matthew 13:31-33.
The Mustard Seed and the Leaven
“Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: (Jesus is that man who plant a small seed in his field which is called the kingdom of God’s dear Son, according to Colossians 1:13)
Matthew 13:32. Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof. (The birds of the air are the faithful saints who will be caught up in the air to meet Jesus and enter into the City of God, the New Jerusalem.
We will mount up with wings as EAGLES, according to Isaiah 40:31. And, according to Matthew 24:28, the eagles will be gathered together to the place called Armageddon where the carcasses will be, the MARRIAGE supper of the Lamb, the supper of our great God taught in Revelation 19:9-17)
Matthew 13:33. Another parable spoke he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.”
Matthew 13:34,35.
Prophecy and Parables
“All these things spoke Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spoke he not unto them:
Matthew 13:35. THAT it might be FULFILLED which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept SECRET from the foundation of the world.”
One of the reasons God KEPT His plan of salvation a SECRET is because of God’s ENEMIES.
In times of war, the leaders of the army send CODED messages.
And, in a like manner, God HIDE messages in His Scripture for His Messiah to read.
Jesus said in John 5:39, the Scriptures TESTIFY of me. This is tool number 40.
TOOL #40.
Understanding that God HIDES prophecies about Jesus along with FIGURES, shadows, and types which give us a PICTURE of Jesus, help us understand the Bible easier.
So, keep Jesus in VIEW being PROPHESIED as you read and study the Scriptures in the Old Testament.
In other words, the FIGURES, people in the Bible including the Angel of Yahweh, are PICTURES of the COMING Messiah and NOT a picture of a pre-existing God the Son.
Matthew 13:36-43.
The Parable of the Weeds Explained
“Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. (Jesus EXPLAINS many of the parables for us. So, interpret what Jesus did NOT explain in the LIGHT of what Jesus did INDEED explain.
This is tool number 41, which I will talk some more about in a moment)
Matthew 13:37. He answered and said unto them, He that sows the GOOD seed is the Son of man; (And now, we are the ambassadors of Jesus sowing the seed of the gospel of Jesus anointed)
Matthew 13:38. The field is the world; the GOOD seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
Matthew 13:39. The ENEMY that sowed them is the Devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. (There are three harvests, according to 1 Corinthians 15:20-28. Jesus is the first harvest.
We who are saved in Jesus are the second harvest at the coming of Jesus.
Then, the third harvest is those who are saved during the 1000-year reign of Jesus in the world to come)
Matthew 13:40. As therefore, the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
Matthew 13:41. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
Matthew 13:42. And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Matthew 13:43. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who has ears to hear, let him hear.”
Matthew 13:44.
The Parable of the Hidden Treasure
“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure HID in a field; the which when a man has found, he hides, and for joy thereof goes and sells all that he has, and buys that field.”
In other words, when we understand the priceless treasure of heaven, we hide that promise of eternal life in our heart.
And because of the joy of our promised glory when Jesus comes, we are willing to give all we possess in this present would to gain the world to come.
Matthew 13:45,46.
The Parable of the Pearl of Great Value
“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:
Matthew 13:46. Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.”
Basically, the same meaning as the parable of the hidden treasure.
Matthew 13:47-50.
The Parable of the Net
“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:
Matthew 13:48. Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.
Matthew 13:49. So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,
Matthew 13:50. And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”
Matthew 13:51,52.
New and Old Treasures
“Jesus said unto them, Have you UNDERSTOOD all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.
Matthew 13:52. Then said he unto them, Therefore, every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which brings forth out of his treasure things new and old.”
Every Scribe represents every verse of Scripture in the Old Testament that hides the treasure of the NEW Covenant in the OLD Testament.
But, I also see the scribes as being the Jews who were the FIRST to hear the gospel.
In other words, the Jews in the OLD Covenant were instructed and taught the word to enter into the kingdom first.
And then, the NEW are the Gentile Christians who were NOT a people of God before the NEW Covenant.
So, out of the treasure of God’s word in both the NEW and the OLD Testaments, the scribes or the teachers can INSTRUCT people INTO the kingdom of heaven.
TOOL #41.
Interpret the UNCLEAR Scriptures in the LIGHT of the CLEAR UNDERSTANDING of the Scriptures Jesus EXPLAINED.
The CLEAR Scriptures are also what the Apostles of Jesus CLEARLY teach us in the NEW Testament under the NEW Covenant.
In other words, if in doubt, interpret the Old Testament in the LIGHT of the NEW Testament.
