Jesus Had ONE Nature at a TIME!
***What Does 2 Corinthians 5:16 TRULY mean?
Here is 2 Corinthians 5:16 from the KJV. “Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.”
The Apostle Paul clearly teaches that the nature of Jesus was no more the SAME nature that he had before the cross and resurrection.
And according to the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:20-28, Jesus became the FIRST FRUITS unto God and we will become the FIRST FRUITS unto God at the coming of Jesus.
And then, the third harvest of FIRST FRUITS will be at the end of the 1000-year reign of Jesus.
This is the Jesus that the Apostle Paul teaches and he warns us in 2 Corinthians 11:4 and and in Galatians 1:6-9 that there will be those who WRONGLY teach ANOTHER Jesus and a DIFFERENT gospel that the Apostles preach.

Jesus Was Not Called God BEFORE the Cross!
The TWO Natures of Jesus at the Same Time is FALSE Church TRADITION!
In chapter 3 of Book 11, I gave a quote pertaining to the reason for the controversy among Christians during the third century through the fifth century.
So let us read that quote again.
Here is a quote from another website explaining what the council at Chalcedon in 451 AD was all about.
“The Council of Chalcedon was called in 451 CE by the Roman Emperor Marcian (r. 450-457) to settle debates regarding the nature (hypostases, "reality") of Christ that had begun at two earlier meetings in Ephesus (431 CE and 439 CE).
The question was whether Christ was human or divine, a man who became God (through the resurrection and ascension) or God who became a man (through the incarnation, "taking on flesh"), and how his humanity and divinity affected his essence and being, if at all.”
In other words, ALL Christians at that time in history agreed that Jesus was DEITY or had divine NATURE.
But the question or DEBATE was HOW was Jesus Deity? When was Jesus Deity?
And did the Son of man, Jesus, become deity after the cross and resurrection?
Or did a pre-existing God become a man who remained fully God during the days of his flesh having BOTH natures at the SAME time, one Divine and one human, DURING the days of his FLESH?
So then, in chapter 3, we learned according to the very first Gospel message that was preached by the Apostle Peter and recorded by Luke in the Book of Acts chapter 2, verses 22-42, the TRUE Gospel clearly teaches us that the Son of MAN, Jesus, BECAME a God under and subject to his God and Father AFTER the cross and resurrection.
And here in chapter 4, we will see that the Apostle Paul teaches us the SAME Gospel as the Apostle Peter and the Apostle John.
So, let us begin chapter 4 by reading a verse from a letter written by the Apostle Paul to the church in Corinth found in 2 Corinthians 5:16 from several different translations of the Bible.
I will then give two examples of INCORRECT translations of verse 16.
And then, we will read the CONTEXT to prove that the God INTEND meaning is that the NATURE of Jesus before the cross was HUMAN nature having no divine nature.
And thus, the Apostle Paul teaches the SAME thing that the Apostle Peter and the Apostle John taught, which is the HUMAN Son of God BECAME a DEITY under and subject to his God after the cross and resurrection.
The emphasis is mine.
Holman Christian Standard Bible
“2 Corinthians 5:16. From now on, then, we do not know anyone in a purely human way. Even if we have known Christ in a purely human way, yet now we no longer know Him like that.”
“2 Corinthians 5:16. From now on, therefore, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard him thus no longer.”
“2 Corinthians 5:16. Wherefore, henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now, henceforth know we him no more.”
“2 Corinthians 5:16. Wherefore, we henceforth know no man after the flesh: even though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now, we know [him so] no more.”
Now, from all of these translations, it is clear that the Apostle Paul is talking about the NATURE of Jesus during the days of his FLESH before the cross as being fully HUMAN.
And that the HUMAN NATURE is no longer the nature of Jesus AFTER the cross and resurrection.
However, some translations are translated in such a way that when you read verse 16 out of its context, then you cannot see what the Apostle Paul INTENDED his words to mean in the LIGHT of the WHOLE word of Almighty God.
And that is because, the translators were “influenced” by their preconceived Trinitarian MINDSET when they translated the Bible.
Let me show you two examples of incorrect translations based on the Trinitarian MINDSET that Jesus had two natures at the SAME time DURING the days of his FLESH.
As you read these two translations, you cannot see that Paul is talking about HUMAN nature being MORTAL in nature.
Rather, the difference between mortal nature and immortal divine nature is HIDDEN from the reader of the following two translations.
“2 Corinthians 5:16. So from now on we don’t think of anyone from a human point of view. If we did think of Christ from a human point of view, we don’t anymore.”
“2 Corinthians 5:16. Because of this decision we don’t evaluate people by what they have or how they look. We looked at the Messiah that way once and got it all wrong, as you know. We certainly don’t look at him that way anymore.?”
Do you see how the two DIFFERENT natures of Jesus are HIDDEN from your view in these two incorrectly translated translations of verse 16?
We know that they are incorrectly translated, because the CONTEXT is talking about BECOMING a NEW creature created in Jesus Christ.
Let us now read verse 16 in its CONTEXT so that you can see what I mean.
2 Corinthians 5:14-21.
“For the love of Christ constrains us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: (Because all men have sinned and the wages of sin is death)
2 Corinthians 5:15. And that he died for all, that they which live, should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. (Here we see that it was the HUMAN NATURE that died and God raised the Son of MAN and made him IMMORTAL in NATURE.
In other words, because Jesus overcame the world by obeying all of the WILL of his Father, it PLEASED his God who found him WORTHY to be made a PARTAKER of the DIVINE nature, according to Revelation 5:12, 2 Peter 1:4, and many other verses such as Philippians 2:8-11 and Colossians 1:18.
For you see, it was after the Son of MAN, Jesus, learned obedience to do all of the WILL of his God and Father that Almighty God was PLEASED that the FULLNESS of DEITY should dwell in him bodily.
It was after the Lamb was SLAIN that he was found WORTHY to RECEIVE POWER, to be CROWNED with glory and honor, according to the Apostle Paul in Hebrews 2:5-10, and the Apostle John in Revelation 5:12, and also according to the Apostle Peter in 1 Peter 3:21,22)
Corinthians 5:16. Wherefore, henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now, henceforth know we him no more. (As a mortal human Son of God.
But now, we know the human Son of MAN as a GLORIFIED MAN, whom God has GIVEN the Divine NATURE of immortality to be having in himself, even as the Father has LIFE in Himself, according to the Apostle John in John 5:26,27.
And according to the Apostle Peter in 2 Peter 1:4.
And also, according to the Apostle Paul in Romans 1:3,4., which we will read in a moment to confirm that the Apostle Paul teaches us that the HUMAN Son of God BECAME the ETERNAL Son of God with POWER after the cross and resurrection.
And according to the Apostle Matthew in Matthew 28:18, it was the human Son of God, who was GIVEN all power and authority AFTER the cross and resurrection)
2 Corinthians 5:17. Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
2 Corinthians 5:18. And all things are of God, who has RECONCILED us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
2 Corinthians 5:19. To wit, that God was in Christ, RECONCILING the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and has committed unto us the word of reconciliation. (Speaking of committing the TRUE Gospel of salvation unto us to preach to the world so that they can also choose to be RECONCILED to God through faith in His Messiah that He GLORIFIED with immortality of the Divine NATURE, according to 2 Peter 1:4)
2 Corinthians 5:20. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be you RECONCILED to God.
2 Corinthians 5:21. For He has made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”
Let us now read what the Apostle Paul teaches us in Romans 1:3,4.
Romans 1:3,4.
“Concerning His Son, Jesus, Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; (In other words, it was the Son of MAN who was lifted up on the cross, according to the Apostle John in John 3:14 and John 8:28)
Romans 1:4. And DECLARED to be the Son of God with POWER, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:”
The Greek word translated as “declared” to be the Son of God with POWER literally means that he was PROPHESIED to become the Son of God by the RESURRECTION to awake from the dead with the COUNTENANCE of his God and Father.
Here is how the concordance in E-Sword defines the Greek word “horizō”, which is where we get the English word horizon.
And the horizon is off in the distance. Thus, it was declared, decreed, ordained, determined, and appointed by God for His human Son to BECOME His Divine Eternal Son by way of the RESURRECTION to RECEIVE POWER, glory, and honor from his God and Father.
G3724
ὁρίζω
horizō
hor-id'-zo
From G3725; to mark out or bound (“horizon”), that is, (figuratively) to appoint, decree, specify: - declare, determine, limit, ordain.
Total KJV occurrences: 8.
And this agrees with what the Apostle Peter teaches us in the first Gospel message recorded in Acts 2:22-42, which says that the MAN APPROVED of God was MADE both Lord and Christ after the cross and resurrection.
Now, in chapter 2 we learned that the Apostle John wrote the Gospel of John for the very purpose that we might believe that Jesus is the CHRIST, the Son of the Living God.
And in chapter 3, we learned that Peter preached about a MAN approved of God, whom God MADE both Lord and Christ after the cross and resurrection, which was recorded in the Book of Acts that was written by Luke, who also wrote the Gospel of Luke.
Therefore, Luke believes and teaches the same things about Jesus as the Apostle Peter, which we will cover more in-depth in another chapter.
But for now, here in chapter 4, we learned that the Apostle Paul preached that the Messiah was made a little lower than the angels, and then his God CROWNED the Son of MAN with glory and honor to RECEIVE POWER after the cross and resurrection.
Now, Jesus is called the Son of MAN 89 times in the New Testament.
And in comparison, the phrase the “Son of God” is found 47 times in the New Testament, where 46 times it is referring to Jesus and one time to Adam.
Plus, Satan asked Jesus to prove if he was the Son of God in two verses, the devils called Jesus the Son of God in two verses, a Roman soldier in another verse, and the high priest in two verses.
So, that leaves 39 times that the Apostles themselves called Jesus the Son of God.
Also, when the Apostle Nathaniel called Jesus the Son of God in the Gospel of John, but then, Jesus answered Nathaniel saying that he shall see the angels ascending and descending upon the Son of MAN.
So then, the Apostles referred to Jesus as the Son of MAN twice as many times as they called Jesus the Son of God.
John 1:47-51.
“Jesus saw Nathanael (Also, called Barthalomew) coming to him, and said of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile! (Or no deceit)
John 1:48. Nathanael said unto him, From where and how do you know me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.
John 1:49. Nathanael answered and said unto him, Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the King of Israel.
John 1:50. Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto you, I saw you under the fig tree, you believe? (That I am the Son of God who is to be the King of Israel) You shall see greater things than these.
John 1:51. And he said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of MAN.”
The phrase Son of man is found 32 times in the Gospel of Matthew.
The phrase the Son of God is found 8 times in the Gospel of Matthew.
But only ONE of those 8 times was by the Apostles.
The phrase Son of man is found 15 times in the Gospel of Mark.
The phrase the Son of God is found 3 times in the Gospel of Mark.
Again, only ONE time was Jesus referred to as the Son of God in the gospel of Mark.
The phrase Son of man is found 26 times in the Gospel of Luke.
The phrase the Son of God is found 7 times in the Gospel of Luke.
In Luke 1:35, the angel prophesied that the child born to Mary SHALL be CALLED the Son of God.
Then in Luke 22:69-71, Jesus teaches that the Son of MAN will sit on the right hand of God with POWER, and the high priest said, so then, you are the Son of God, as in, the one PROPHESIED to be the Son of God.
Then Jesus said, You say that I am.
The phrase Son of man is found 12 times in the Gospel of John.
The phrase the Son of God is found 10 times in the Gospel of John.
And most of these verses are either referring to a prophecy of the GLORIFIED Son of MAN, after the cross and resurrection.
The phrase Son of man is found 1 time in the Book of Acts.
The phrase Son of God is found 2 times in the Book of Acts.
Again, referring to the Son of MAN, Jesus, after the cross and resurrection being called the Son of God.
The phrase Son of man is found 1 time in the Book of Hebrews.
The phrase Son of God is found 4 times in the Book of Hebrews.
Again, referring to the Son of MAN, Jesus, after the cross and resurrection being called the Son of God.
The phrase Son of man is found 2 times in the Book of Revelation.
The phrase Son of God is found 1 time in the Book of Revelation.
Again, referring to the Son of MAN, Jesus, after the cross and resurrection being called the Son of God.
The phrase the Son of God is found 1 time in Romans 1:4, where the Son of MAN was DECLARED to be the Son of God with POWER by the RESURRECTION.
The phrase the Son of God is found 1 time in 2 Corinthians 1:19, 1 time in Galatians 2:20, Ephesians 4:13, and 8 times in 1 John, which we will cover in another chapter when I circle back to the TRUE Jesus, according to the Gospel of John!
Again, all of the verses above are referring to the Son of MAN, Jesus, after the cross and resurrection being called the Son of God.
So, as you can see, the Apostles of Jesus EMPHASIZED the HUMANITY of Jesus well over TWICE as many times as they called Jesus the Son of God.
And when the Apostle of Jesus did call Jesus the Son of God, those verses are all speaking of the GLORIFIED Son of MAN, Jesus, being called the Son of God after the cross and resurrection.
So then, according to the DOCTRINE of the Apostles of Jesus, they see or understand Jesus as the Son of MAN who BECAME the ETERNAL Son of God after the cross and resurrection.
And if you remember, the controversy among Christians that began AFTER the last EYEWITNESS, the Apostle John died, was the following argument.
Here again is a quote from another website explaining what the council at Chalcedon in 451 AD was all about.
And, as you have seen in these first four chapters of Book 11, the evidence in the Scriptures is overwhelmingly teaching us that the HUMAN Son of God BECAME a DEITY under and subject to his God and Father after the cross and resurrection.

And to me, the truth concerning who Jesus TRULY is, according to the Bible ITSELF, is the Biblical Unitarian view of Jesus.
Once Christians, Jews, Muslims, and even atheists understand the REASON that Yahweh CREATED the Son of MAN, Jesus, was to have DOMINION over the work of Yahweh’s hands.
And after you understand that the REASON that Yahweh did that is to STILL His ENEMIES, Satan and the fallen angels.
Then you can understand that God made His human Son to become “a” Lord, “a” King, and “a” God, under and subject to his God and Father in order to JUDGE Satan and the fallen angels.
