Project Description

Evaluated the mobile maturity of the company and the current mobile capabilities, helping the company to define a mobile strategy and making some recommendations about mobile platforms and tools to be implemented in the next months.

Also, an architectural roadmap was defined, based on the available resources, including the mobile app development for several use cases, focused on reading electrical and water consumption counters.

The project was sponsored by Enemalta and Water Services Corporation, which are the energy and water services companies in Malta, belonging to the government.

As a result, delivered the solution design for an Android mobile app whose users are the field workers and the main functionality is completing the work orders coming from their SAP system.

What I've done

• Ellaborated the mobile maturity assessment and the mobile capabilities study.

• Generated a report with technologies, tools, frameworks and products recommendation.

• Defined the mobile strategy, the application development roadmap and the reference architecture.

• Presented the solution to the maximum IT leaders for both companies with success.
