Project Description

Mobile application developed with Flutter technology for iOS and Android. The main objective of the app is letting citizens read news about the Covid-19 pandemic, both in Spanish and Euskera languages. The information is published by the Bizkaia's regional deputy by using a Wordpress instance hosted at IBM Cloud, and it makes usage of the IBM Cloud Push Notifications Services in order to send notifications to the users as soon as a new post is published.

Some other functionalities are described below:

• Nearby places search and map directions for first need services, like hospitals, food stores, supermarkets, etc.

• Economic help and guidance for citizens.

• News rating system.

• Drawing and painting section for kids, allowing to upload their creations for sharing.

• Transport information.

• Beaches information.

• Augmented Reality tool for social distance measures.

What I've done

• Define the architectural solution.

• Configure IBM Cloud Push Notifications services with Apple APNS and Google FCM.

• Develop the Wordpress PHP module for integration with IBM Cloud Push Notifications services.

• Lead the mobile development team and develop small features in the app.

• Collaborate on app design.

• Participate on recurrent follow-up sessions with customer and report progress, status and technical advice.

• Deploy mobile apps to the public markets.
