The police airwaves radio is a secure encrypted radio system that is only available for use by:
Police
NHS
Gruppe 6
To access the police radio system an officer should first turn their radio using the Shift+H button and then press the "PAGE DOWN" button to first access "LS Police 1" An officer may then use the "PAGE UP" and "PAGE DOWN" keys to switch between different channels.
When using the Police Radio officers should keep their transmissions brief and to the point while having them contain all the relevant information. Officers should also avoid talking over each other and if an officer needs to interrupt someone urgently they should broadcast "BREAK BREAK" to inform all on the channel of this.
If an officer finds themselves in a situation where they require urgent assistance, they may activate their panic button by pressing "SHIFT +B"
This will send a dispatch to all other officers with the officer's location. It is up to the officer that is in trouble to then use the radio to broadcast what is happening.
The Los Santos Police Service Uses call signs to identify individual officers and patrol units so that other officers on the radio, as well as a control room operator, can understand what units are on duty as well and what each unit is doing.
First need to establish what call signs are available to do this press "O" on your keyboard this will bring up the dispatch menu;
Take a look at the Police section in the bottom right of the screen to see what call signs are currently in use;
Look at the table of call signs and select the one that is the most appropriate for the patrol you intend on doing;
4. Press and Hold the "CAPS LOCK" key then select the unit menu option from the 10-11 o'clock position
5. Select "Set Call sign";
6. Type in your call sign then press "Submit"
